  1. Here you are: Monuments To An Elegy | The Smashing Pumpkins – Télécharger et écouter l'album It's probably going to appear in other places too (it usually happens) Best, iz
  2. did you get the standard version at qobuz or the deluxe? I haven't bought it yet (I'm on the fence on this one), but The Endless River (Deluxe Edition) | Pink Floyd*– Télécharger et écouter l'album shows 21 tracks and 6 bonus video clips best, Igor
  3. same for me (firefox on a jolla emulating android). the native browser loads the desktop site, that works OK but it's quite uncomfortable to read on the small display. best, Igor
  4. can't edit my message - read "Jeff Tweedy's voice has a bit more body/3D" (hate this tablet keyboard)
  5. that shows my propension to check files these days - i just checked that one (Kamera) and saw no evil, so didn't even check the DR on the whole album. I listened to it and compared a couple of tracks with the CD issue I mentioned - my listening room is in a flux so I am not sure my impressions are useful, but I would say I think the HR is worth the money, it's a bit more detailed and delineated and probably Jeff Tweedy's voice as a bit more body/3D. Of course anybody else's impressions may vary... best, Igor
  6. got the high rez, minutes ago - checked Kamera, spectrum seems legit, DR about the same as the CD version I have (early European standard issue). Will listen later. best, iz
  7. The BD is missing the rehearsal tracks too, according to the track list at the Decca site. There doesn't seem to be a HR version of those tracks available anywhere, at the moment. Best, Igor
  8. ...available on Linn Records: Linn Records - Britten: War Requiem I see no territorial restrictions from Italy. YMMV... best, Igor
  9. Finally HDTracks sent me a link to download the correct replacement for Cosmogony (this time it is a 44.1/24 file). No noise issues with this one.
  10. I have been purchasing music from eClassical for a while - I like BIS recordings, performers and repertoire choices (but then again, I buy lots of records, much more than I should...). I bought the Bach Orchestral Suites performed by the Bach Collegium Japan when they first came out, on SA-CD. Later they were reissued, coupled with the Brandenburg Concertos. If I were to buy the Brandenburg Concertos on SA-CD - and I want to buy them, of course -, I would have 2 copies of the Suites (granted, I could give someone my first copy, but I tend to keep everything). With eClassical's structure, when BIS-SACD-1721-22 will appear on the site, I will be able to buy just the Brandenburg concertos, complete, in the format I will choose (most likely 24 bit, if available). No price penalty for not buying the complete album. I won't have to worry about track lengths and availability (another site has the recording in CD format, but the tracks over 8 minutes aren't available separately and I think if you want CD quality you have to buy the full album, on that other site). I will get the Suites only if I will decide I want them as 24 bit files (and I will be able to get them when I feel like buying them, again without any price penalty). I see no problem with eClassical's pricing structure...
  11. They just sent me a message, the replacement file was corrected, but it is indeed 16 bit. A new replacement will come.
  12. The album was never described as 96/24 that I am aware of. It was announced as a 44.1/24 download in their weekly newsletter (I bought it a few hours after receiving the mail); I don't think it was available before they issued the newsletter. I was a bit surprised when I found I downloaded 96/24 files :-)
  13. No, I don't have Audacity on this machine. In any case, HDTracks admits it is a 44.1 file (the album is sold as 24/44.1, it is delivered as a 24/96). The other tracks are encoded as 24/96. Probably truncated at some stage: even if it was an upsampled 44.1/16, normally upsamplers generate 24 bit files in their default configuration, IME. I would be surprised if the error came from the upsample process. Notice I am not saying this is an upsample, nor am I sure it is not. BTW, I don't know a way to tell for sure an original 24 bit file from one which was obtained via some dithering process from a 16 bit one.
  14. HDTracks sent me a link to download the "repaired" version. I just downloaded it. Pity it is 37 MB (vs the 96 MB of the original "problem" file) and, according to the dBpoweramp info, it is a 16/96 (not 24/96) file; the size matches that info I think... I just sent a note to HDTracks asking for the 24/96 repaired file. I'm puzzled. PS: forgot to mention that the 44.1/24 tracks are delivered as 24/96 files in this instance. So they sent me a 16/44.1 track delivered as a 16/96 file, not what I paid for.
  15. I forgot about Medulla and Vespertine on DVD-A, maybe because I have them on SACD. I have been an early SACD adopter, well almost, and have always had very few DVD-A. I might try and get them, I would like to see (yes, with Audacity or something like that) what's in those recordings... Anyway, my rule of thumb for 44.1/24 records is that I will buy them if the price is just about the same I would pay for a CD or a CD quality download.
