  1. Hi Evo-No-Revo I am interested in the microrendu+iFi PSU if they are still available
  2. George It is an unusual problem! The wifi connection is full. Thanks, I will check the forum for more assistance
  3. George Thanks for the tips I reset the access key after which I was able to get the Android to connect to the server :-) I also turned off the firewall as you suggested. I can see my playlists etc but I cannot get the Gizmo from the Android to play anything! Doesn't seem to send a play command to the server nor does it pick up Current Playing in case I start a song on the server. Did you face anything like this?
  4. Hi Would someone please help me with some step by step instructions to get Gizmo working on my Android? I would like to try this as an alternate to Apple based apps I have the app downloaded on my Android but cant get it to connect with JRiver MC16 Thanks in advance
  5. I am also a recent user of JRiver. I found improvement in the sound output by playing around with a few settings under the Audio tab. You may want to try the following options from the many that are available: - Use WASAPI Event Style (instead of just WASAPI) - Check the box that allows for exclusive access to the output device - Check the box for "Play from memory" - Keep Prebuffering at 20s (the max) You may also want to try changing the BitDepth (Under the DSP tab) from Source BitDepth to 24bits. Personally I am still not convinced the 24bits is better. Hope this helps
  6. Paul Thanks for the great suggestion! I downloaded and started to use the demo license (just to check that it works all ok on my setup). You are right - its a good interface. Agree its not as nice as a Apple Remote Did you set it to start automatically when Windows starts? -KB
  7. Paul Doesn't BitRemote also interface via a browser? Does your BR stop playing after the current track if the IPhone goes into standby? Btw, do you experience any deterioration in sound using the remote vs not using any remote? Regards KB
  8. Thanks for the tip. Coincidentally earlier today I borrowed a friend's Android phone and downloaded Gizmo after reading a little bit about it. However, I am not able to get it to connect to my server !!! There is a access code in JRiver (6 alphabets) which I enter but it gives an error on the phone.... trying to figure that out
  9. Hi I recently downloaded a trial version of MC16. Its early days but I seem to like the Jriver software and output quality (WASAPI Event Style) but I am in the midst of finding an easy enough way to control it remotely using an iPod touch (very important for me to have a good/stable remote with search capability). I read the forums and tried WebRemote, which seems the logical and easiest place to start. However, every time the ipod goes into standby, the current playing song gets repeated endlessly! 1. Can this be fixed with some changes to the settings? 2. Is it possible to see search results by Album in WebRemote? Right now it lists all songs for a searched artist 3. Is PlugPlayer any better in either regard? Quick overview of my frontend of the setup (in case thats relevant for a response): - Windows 7 i3 based computer (dedicated for audio only) - Library is 90% FLAC and 10% WMA Lossless - Using a USB out into a USB-SPDIF converter, which feeds my DAC. DAC can support 24/96 Thus far I have been using FooBar-(WASAPI output) and control that remotely by MonkeyMote app on an iPod, which works very well I am a newbie in the world of computer audio and on this forum so if this has been discussed elsewhere, appreciate it if someone can just point me to that (couldnt find it in my search though) Thanks in advance
