  1. So iv had the Swan M50Ws for a couple weeks now and I have to say, I am very impressed with the sound quality. I probably don't exactly have as much experience with testing out speaker systems as most of the people on here, but the clarity of these things is definitely better than any other speaker setup iv heard and they produce a very well balanced, warm sound. My only complaint is with the volume knob. From the outside, it looks nice and well made, but feels like the mechanism inside could use work. While turning it, there are a couple of random rough spots that cause the volume to jump up a little higher or lower than normal, and the mute function is not always easy to activate as if you hit the knob slightly off center, it will not mute. Overall though, I am very happy with these speakers.
  2. Thanks for the input! I think i am going to go with the Swan m50w's.
  3. I am trying to find a high quality set of 2.1 computer speakers in the sub $500 (preferably $200 to 300) price range. As far as I can tell from the reviews I have read, it sounds like the Acoustic Energy Aego M's are exactly what I am looking for, but they are nearly impossible to find in the US. Iv found several websites in the UK that sell them, but none are willing to do international shipping. The only US seller I have found is asking $275 for a used set which seems a little ridiculous to me. Iv considered getting the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1's, but the ones I listened to at Best Buy sounded a little muddy seemed to distort pretty easily at higher volumes. I have heard that the Audioengine a2's are good in this price range, but I doubt they would produce the kind of bass I am looking for without having a sub. Do you guys have any other ideas for a 2.1 system in this price range, or know of anywhere I can find a set of the Aego M's?
