Here are the specs of my pc: i5 2500k 4.4Ghz, ASUS gtx 580 DCII, Corsair Vengeance 8gb 1600, ASUS P8Z68-V mobo, Corsair TX850M psu, HAF 922 case, 1TB 7200rpm. I'm using Ultrasone HFI-780 headphones (35 ?), and Winamp as the music player. Most of my files are flac, but some are 128 and 320. The same thing happens on all of them, as well as my laptop which is an HP g series. I don't know what you mean by "powered USB hub" but I haven't tried a dedicated USB PCI card. The configuration I'm using is: Plugging the headphones into the headphone jack of the iBasso d4, and the USB cable going from the back of the D4 into my PC's usb port. The AUX IN/OUT port is not being used.

I'm using the iBasso d4, and when I connect it through USB to my computer so it's using the d4's dac+amp, the bass sounds choppy and distorted. When I'm using just the d4's amp, I don't have this problem. I was told to come here because apparently this is a common problem, and I want to know how to fix this.
