  1. It seems to me that if Amarra A4L had a simple player like VOX (able to read an iTunes library, without creating a new complex database) and keep its sound quality, it would be a winner for all of us on this forum. But...

Thanks for the advice. Minimize mode does not help while moving the response speed to "slow" seems to work. I will try more extensively. However "Queueing file for gapless playback" still go to the previous file instead of the next (without any sound disturbance). 16/02/12 02:44:42,355 BitPerfect: Starting file file://localhost/Volumes/Sonnet 6 To/iTunes/iTunes Media/Mirabassi, Giovanni/Adelante/08 La Carta.m4a 16/02/12 02:44:42,356 BitPerfect: Stopping Playback 16/02/12 02:44:42,358 BitPerfect: Buffer Disposed: 16/02/12 02:44:42,536 BitPerfect: Buffer Ready: 16/02/12 02:44:48,076 BitPerfect: Buffer Full: 16/02/12 02:44:52,021 BitPerfect: Remaining time: 220.234649 16/02/12 02:44:52,023 BitPerfect: Queueing file for gapless playback: file://localhost/Volumes/Sonnet 6 To/iTunes/iTunes Media/Mirabassi, Giovanni/Adelante/07 Lili Marleen.m4a 16/02/12 02:44:52,185 BitPerfect: Buffer Ready: 16/02/12 02:44:54,938 BitPerfect: Buffer Full: 16/02/12 02:48:31,188 BitPerfect: Grace period: 2.078912 16/02/12 02:48:31,206 BitPerfect: Starting file file://localhost/Volumes/Sonnet 6 To/iTunes/iTunes Media/Mirabassi, Giovanni/Adelante/09 Gallo Rojo Gallo Negro.m4a 16/02/12 02:48:31,207 BitPerfect: Stopping Playback 16/02/12 02:48:31,216 BitPerfect: Buffer Disposed: 16/02/12 02:48:31,217 BitPerfect: Buffer Disposed: 16/02/12 02:48:31,393 BitPerfect: Buffer Ready: 16/02/12 02:48:35,313 BitPerfect: Buffer Full: 16/02/12 02:48:39,804 BitPerfect: Remaining time: 155.241905 16/02/12 02:48:39,805 BitPerfect: Queueing file for gapless playback: file://localhost/Volumes/Sonnet 6 To/iTunes/iTunes Media/Mirabassi, Giovanni/Adelante/08 La Carta.m4a 16/02/12 02:48:39,965 BitPerfect: Buffer Ready: 16/02/12 02:48:45,557 BitPerfect: Buffer Full: 16/02/12 02:51:15,051 BitPerfect: Buffer Disposed: 16/02/12 02:51:15,052 BitPerfect: Switching playback buffer: 16/02/12 02:51:15,405 BitPerfect: Grace period: 0.000000 16/02/12 02:51:15,406 BitPerfect: Starting file file://localhost/Volumes/Sonnet 6 To/iTunes/iTunes Media/Mirabassi, Giovanni/Adelante/10 Assentamento.m4a

Every 10 sec or so, the song jumps 2-3 sec backwards. This only happens since BP v1.0.1. If I use XLD or iTunes to rip my CDs in ALAC, I have the same problem. It does not happen in iTunes without BitPerfect. Hope this can help to find the bug in this great program !

I really love the integration of BitPerfect with iTunes. PureMusic and Amarra look very clumsy in comparison. I noticed that BitPerfect upsampling can lead to problems with the M2Tech Hiface. I guess this is when the DAC is limited to 96 kHz while the M2Tech accept 192 kHz. In that case upsampling 44.1 to 176.4 will be incompatible with the DAC. Would it be possible to set an upper limit to upsampling (96 in this case) or only allow 2x upsampling ?
