1. Hi Excuse us if we have not replied you in our forum. We are really busy with some projects, with no so much time to answer. Sorry again Windows 8 didn't exist when we launched Sonata, so it is not officially supported. But we have done some tests, and it works fine with W8. Some of our customer use it. And if you have any issue, we will help you Regard
 2. Hi Neil

You are wellcome.
The fix doesn't show any message when it is installed.

The issue you report now can happens if the dbpoweramp software trial mode has expired. The trial period is 21 days. Did you installed the software before this 21 days?

If not, please, do a simple test:

Run CD ripper application (Start->programs->dbpoweramp->dbpoweramp CD Ripper) and try to rip a CD. We should see if the fix h
as been installed correctly

Daniel

PS: To avoid write many messages in the post, can we follow with the thread in the Sonata Software forum?
http://www.sonataserver.com/index.php/en/forum.html

PS2: we have not tested the software with Windows XP Media Centre Edition, but I can't tell you if this is the issue.
 3. Neil, please, install the fix you can download from Digibit forum:

http://www.sonataserver.com/index.php/en/forum/4-sonata/284-151-bug-with-trial-license.html

It should solve the issue

Regards

4. Hello Neil.

I think you are clicking on "Sonata Music Server 16". Just before it, you should have "Sonata Music Server". Click in "click here for support information" on it, please

5. Neil, please, go to Control Panel -> add/remove program (or something like that, depending of your OS) and look for "Sonata Music Server"

Daniel
 6. Dear rmilewsk

I don't want to have to re install two pieces of software and reconfigure them again. Is this requirement still in effect?

Let me explain the situation now:

If you have in your system JRiver&dbpoweramp, and you install Sonata:

- You won't lost the JRiver MC1x version installed. You will have both, MC1x and Sonata. And your MC1x won't lose the configuration
- About dbpoweramp, it is not so easy: some of the things we do in our installation process is change the dbpoweramp configuration to integrate it with our SonataDB. And integrate it with JRiver, too.
So it changes the dbpoweramp configuration you have, and it is not possible recover it automatically.

Best Regards
Daniel

7. Neil, are you using Sonata 1.5.1 version with take a trial license? If yes, please, take a look to next post:

http://www.sonataserver.com/index.php/en/forum/4-sonata/284-151-bug-with-trial-license.html

We found a bug with the rip configuration. It is solved with a fix.
Regards

Daniel
Digibit
