  1. Hi Alex I just ordered a Ether Regen a couple of hours ago and was thinking about the JS-2 as well. How do I contact you regarding one for a shipping quote?
  2. The Kefs are a brilliant speaker but well above the league of the Sony. They need more and better quality power to get the best out of them and are also quite particular about placement. If you're thinking along of an upgrade path for larger go for them but if you just want something to play music with the Sony and that's it then go for something cheaper that's easier to drive and place. 3. How does it come up in conductor app? Can you post a screenshot?
  4. Netherlands, Switzerland and Czech republic only at present according to the version revision on the iOS App Store when the Conductor app updated. What I don't get is, does that mean local stations are now available for people in those regions or a more wide Internet Radio option for just those countries? Given Internet radio stations are usually available to anyone with an internet connection connection anywhere, I don't really get this current geographical limitation, but I'm sure there's a reason behind it. Hopefully not too long till more regions get it.
  5. Hey guys Does anyone know how the dual TRS headphone sockets are wired ? I would like to order a custom cable for my Audeze headphones to use and let's just say Mytek support have been less than helpful with giving me that information. Thanks
  6. That's good to hear Dave Also...I just watched the video of that person turning it on and off and the popping noise and I can tell you this: 1. Definitely something wrong with that. That is very very loud. 2. When I was a young I got taught by more mature audiophiles that there's a way to turn equipment on and off....Turn on amp last, turn off amp first. In any system, I wouldn't be turning my source on and off while my preamp/amp is on. Risking damage to the speakers and headphones like that.
  7. Hi there. I can't answer all of your questions but for the ones I can these are my observations: - I've had the Brooklyn for about a week now. - Recently sold an HA-1 and PM-1s so quite familiar with the Oppos. The Mytek is completely quiet in terms of noise and similar in that respect to the Oppo HA-1. I get no noise or hiss with Audeze LCD2s and I've also used it with the volume up to maximum into a preamp and it's dead quiet. I'm only using a single ended connection for the headphones as I don't have an adapter yet for balanced. In terms of popping noises, there is a very subtle 'tick' noise when I turn off the Mytek while I have the headphones on. This is very subtle and present even if the volume is turned down. I don't think this is unusual or abnormal. Lastly in terms of the screen and line in the middle of it: The Brooklyn actually has 2 square screens that are next to each other. There's no line in the middle, it's just the split between the two screens. Having used it in practice, the screen is beautiful, I like the interface and the two parts work well together. Running in notwithstanding (mine has about 30 hours on it only), I've gone through a Teac UD501, Auralic Vega, Oppo HA-2, Oppo HA-1, Chord Hugo and Marantz HD-DAC1 and FOR ME this one is the most enjoyable so far. Hope this helps.
  8. Hi all Apologies if this has already been covered...I've gone through most of this thread and couldn't find the answer. I am about to pull the trigger on the Brooklyn. Just wondering if it plays nicely with the Aurender N100H. If anyone has such a setup or has seen it working I would appreciate it.
  9. Umm... If the 2.8MB/sec calculation is correct (seems like it is) then one would need an internet connection has a downstream speed of at least 35-40Mbits/sec ... And I'm talking true speed here not what your ISP is telling us we can go "up to". Is this realistic?
  10. It is a mystery why they insist on having limits. Don't know if it does have anything to do with the processing speed and whether over 20k (or whatever it really is) it starts to get sluggish. I've filled 450GB of the S1s HDD and I'm only up to 11.000 tracks or so. Most of these are FLAC though and by extrapolation of my 9000 44.1/16 FLAC tracks = 240GB then I think it will be easy to get to more than 20.000 with the 1TB drive in the Z1ES. Maybe Sony is thinking we will all just buy DSD files from their catalogue! I will be changing the HDD at some point as I have another 200GB or so to go (which are not tagged properly and so won't be putting them on yet) so I can't test it yet. On the subject of the HDD...has anyone changed theirs? I'd love a bit of info on what kind of HDD it is (looks like a 2.5 inch 9.5mm height?) and what the procedure was for re-initializing the device after installation.
  11. Hi Vinnie (and everyone else) I think this might be of help: Help Guide | When registering music files to the HDD AUDIO PLAYER Apparently 20,000 files is the limit. I stumbled across this when I was looking at the help section for my HAP-S1 and it appears it's the same for the Z1ES as well.
  12. Hey guys. First post here even though have been reading forum for some time. I am too rocking to this album. Noticeable difference between CD and Qobuz HD versions on my system. As for vinyl version, still in it's protective cover and hope to have a listen over the weekend if life (and little person) allows!
