  1. I knew of eclassical and passionato but not Qobuz. I will definitely check them out. I was looking for a Harmonia Mundi recording of the Brandenburg Concertos over the weekend and the HM website directed me to iTunes. Which was not what I wanted to hear (no pun intended). And thanks also for the VPN proxy suggestion. On a quasi-related note, are liner notes available with Deutsche Grammophon downloads? I bought and downloaded Besthoven's String Quartets with Emerson but I did not see a pdf or other document purporting to be liner notes.
  2. Well, at least I have found a cause for the problem and I am posting this in the hopes it might be of help to someone else who may encounter the same issue. Turns out Ariama.com is open only to US users. Since I am in Greece the search returns results for all items "available" to me, that is none.
  3. Hi to all. I am a new member of the forum. Having recently purchased and installed a Logitech Transporter (the SE/knobless version) I am now scouring the online world to add to my modest CD collection of classical music. Lossless downloads are a must although my home system is not sensitive enough for anything other than redbook specs. This weekend I discovered Ariama.com but I have strange problem I am hoping maybe someone on this forum might be able to help with. On my home computer (iMac running 10.6.8 and Chrome version 14.0.835.163 or Safari 5.1) no matter what type of search I conduct on the site - whether by composer, conductor, performer, orchestra, etc. - I always get a response of "no results found". As an example, on my work Windows PC if I choose Karajan as the conductor from the drop-down menu, 10 items appear in the "Featured Releases" and if I click on "see all" 664 albums appear. When I do the same on my Mac I always receive "no results found". It is clearly an issue with my system and/or browser and I am hoping you can provide me some guidance with settings so that I can properly view and research the site and make purchases from home. Both versions of my home browser are current and supported by the website. I wrote to ariama but got back a useless response that only highlighted the fact they didn't actually read my e-mail. I did a quick search of "ariama" before I posted this but only received three hits which did not address the above. I am hoping it's a simple preference that needs to be tweaked. Thanks to all for any assistance. Mario
