  1. Hi Ted, Does this zip file contain the MAC version of ISO2DSDIFF?
  2. Hi Jeff, thanks for confirming this. FYI, I am also getting a ripper hang on "Bob Dylan Blonde on Blonde" if that helps. Even with the Elton John SACD's a small iso file gets created on the flash drive so SACD-Ripper is trying when it hangs. It identifies the disc and starts to rip with no progress bar. Captain Fantastic ripped with no problems. Thanks for reporting the bug, I don't know how to do that. Also, when SACD-Ripper hangs, you can "soft kill" the PS3 by pressing down the power button on the front of the PS3 for 3 seconds until you hear a beep. It seems to exit more gracefully and is better than pulling the plug or cutting power.
  3. SACDs and they are clean. I'm thinking that maybe I should reinstall the ripper? Kind of at a loss for an explanation after so many successful rips that I am having this problem. The PS3 says that it can get corrupted if the system is turned off fron the back switch when it freezes, maybe that is a problem? I dunno ... I guess it can't hurt to reinstall ...
  4. Captain Fantastic worked though but Dylan's Blonde on Blonde gave me the same hang problems as Honkey Chateau and Tumbleweed Connection. I am using a USB drive and not running in server mode. Are you running in server mode? Thanks!
  5. Did you extract the iso file with that version (.31)? Is it possible to downgrade SACD ripper from .36 to .31? It's really weird that the ripper just hangs on these files. Maybe I should reinstall? I'll try some other SACD's tomorrow and report back. Thanks!
  6. Has anyone else had this problem? I am trying to add Honkey Chateau and Tumbleweed Connection to my server library of hi-rez music. I have been able to rip about 30-40 SACD's without issue, but these two discs seem to freeze the program and I can't escape (I have to turn off the PS3). There are small .iso files that are created but they are only .3Gig or so in size. Has anyone else had this type of problem? I am running ver .36. Thanks!
  7. I am running the caps pocket server 2.0 and win7. Is anyone playing .dff files out to a 24/192 dac successfully? If so, with what software? I tried JRiver MC per reccomendation in CAPS post but it won't play above 24/88.2.
  8. I have ripped about 30 SACD's with the old code from November. Is the quality better? It seems like the naming and metadata is much improved.
  9. First, thanks for your patience. I went back read completely through the links and have 7 successful rips and conversions to 24/192. On some SACD's however (Telarc Firebird) SACD Ripper locks up when reading the first track, so I ripped an ISO file - seemed to work at 1.8Gig file size. When I try to extract the DSD files (or any of them) using sacd-extract(scarletbook.exe) I get all the tracks incorrectly as extremely small files. I gather from the posts that ISO extraction is preferable because extracting an ISO file saves on the wear/tear of the PS3 SACD drive, correct? When SACD-Ripper locks up, it appears the only way to reset is to turn off the PS3. I was trying to see if maybe I have an old version-but couldn't tell from the onscreen menus. The sacd-ripper.pkg file is 194K. Thank you!
  10. looking at the SACD information on the jewelcase and the one that worked correctly (Gaite Parisienne) is listed as a two track recording where Heifetz is listed as a three track recording. Any idea how to extract only the 2-ch non-DST compressed area with SACD-ripper? This is all new to me ...
  11. Parisienne (LSC Fiedler) but it doesnt work with .dsdiff files from Heifetz Concertos (LSC). The first one I tried, Heifetz files wouldnt even show up in the play list in Audiogate ... According to your post I extracted the wrong kind of files, but I did it the same way as Gaite Parisienne using PS3 SACD-Ripper. I am sorry for asking so many questions ... I really appreciate this forum. I think I'm almost there. Of note: I read in some of the threads that you should be able to configure the export format from SACD-ripper (press one of the keys on PS3 controller - triangle or circle) ... this did nothing for me.
  12. Tried to figure out how to convert the .dsdiff files without success. Is there a trick to running this software? I tried selecting a folder as well as all the files without success. Thanks Ted!
