  1. Many thanks for your feedbacks. I'm curious if anyone as reviewed and set-up against each other the Holo May KTE DAC and the Mola Mola Tambaqui DAC. Would be interesting seeing a review as detailed has the one from Goldensound's (excellent reviews by the way) on the Holo May review. Cheers
  2. Thanks for the feedback. It's a Plinius integrated amp (pre-amp dual mono power configuration in a single box). So by this output voltage: 5.8Vrms in XLR, seems like my input will enter in overload (set at 5Vrms).... bollocks A workaround would be using single-ended outputs... but I would prefer using the balanced output.... bollock x2
  3. Many tanks for your feedbacks! It is clear now! I have another quick one. Does anyone know what is the output voltage bolth in single ended as well in balanced mode of the output stage of the Holo May? I've read that they are hot outputs with higher voltage level than normal standard. I ask this due to the fact that my amp has an INPUT IMPEDANCE of 47k ohms all inputs and an INPUT OVERLOAD of 5V RMS, and I'm concern that it might enter in overload with the May, Thank you for your help
  4. Hi, Probably this has been answered elsewhere, but I'd like to claifify a few things Imagine using Holo May and wanting to use HQPlayer. As fas as I've understood, to use the full potential of HQPlayer one needs to have an intel base pc to be able to handle the CPU load. On the other hand, I'd like to use a NAA with I2S output, like a PI2AES to have a low jitter and uncoupled USB connectio to the DAC via Ethernet->I2S. How can I have this setup working? What would be the chain? Or in alternative is there a way of running the HQPlayer DSP on a NAA that is USB uncoupled and outputs I2S directly to the May? Thank you
  5. This is ridiculous…. Spent a lot of money on LHLabs and zero satisfaction, product delivery or even any sort of compensation. We've invested in the company and product development for a promised product that had been announced in Dec 28, 2013!!!! Even if they'd ever deliver anything, which I don't believe, you would be delivering on a 6 year old promise completely outdated by comparison to what the market as to offer nowadays. You can all be sure that I will personly bad mouth LH Labs and it’s parent company Light Harmonic on every forum, tradeshows and audioshows. People need to know that you are not a serious company! Shame on them! And shame on me for having put faith on your project.. Never in my life I’ve been scammed, and I deal with a lot of business for many, many years…. There is always a first experience, and this will direly be the last! I invested ~1400$ on for a Pulse X∞ and know at least of two identical cases. How can we persue a legal action against them? Anyone looked into it with a lawyer?
  6. Any one has news on the delivery of the products or has had sucess in receiving feedback from someone over LHLabs / LighHarmonic? Any one as invesigated which type of legal action could we take? People that haven't received what they have paid for should organize and have one single action against LH Labs. this as gone way too far.
  7. Congratulations on your ViDAC. I'm still waiting for my Pulse XInfinity .... Much as been said about the way they've manage the campaign and delays on deliveries, last minute design changes... now I have an LPS that doesn't even ressemble with what the DAC will look like.... well I won't add much to that conversation at this stage. I'll say one thing though. At this stage it would be reasonable for them to compensate all the early backers (I backed from day one) that are still waiting and simply upgrade the orders to the final comercial product... that is the Vi DAC or something like that. They should compensate for the mess that this process has undergone. I sold my last DAC with the expectation of having the Pulse on my system... been living for too long without a digital source due to this mess. Just hope that they solve this issue asap and have the decency to compensate those of us that have been in this mess. Enviado do meu SM-G920F através de Tapatalk
  8. Ever since I've upgraded to the latest version I stopped beeing able to use the DAC for other applications... even when stopped or A+ closed its shuts the use of the DAC for other softwares. Any of you guys had the same problem? I've tried to toggle between direct mode, integer and even core audio and nothing. Now I can only use the DAC with A+ which is not ideal for my setup. Anyway of solving it? Tkx Enviado do meu SM-G920F através de Tapatalk
  9. I can't figure out how to use audionirvana with tidal audiophile... The option to select audionirvana on the setting tab on kodi, doesn't appear. I've downloaded the script and put then on applications but nothing happens. Also, I'm unable to log in... always receive an error to check the log. Where can I find out the log file? 10. Roon Metadata handling with Miska's processing engines would be a match made in heaven...
  11. Hi, tkx for your reply.... already was aware of that. What I'm actually looking for is a DSP room correction software that could work, natively without any transcoding on the fly from SDM to PCM (or worse even by downsampling the sample rate to 192, that seems to be the highest sample rate available for DSM room correction software these days).
  12. Hi, Any of you know of a DSP software that can be used with a player such as A+ that supports both PCM @384kHz, aka DXD, and SDM? Seems like the most advanced one is DIRAC that supports now up to 192kHz...
  13. PCM to DSD (64,128...) conversion on the fly! Obviously Remote app, iOS and Android!
  14. There are a lot of discussions over the web about sound differences between uncompressed flac (simple encapsulation for metadata) and compressed (being that flac is a lossless codec in that it compresses the code, the way it's written, and not the sound) flac sound. I for one experience quite a difference on my system. But I would say that for the majority of the systems people won't ear it. The theory is thatalthought the codec is in reality uncompressed by nature on the sound conversion, the fact that the CPU as to process it and decompress the packets into PCM changes the behavior of end result of the sound. I was so blunt by the difference that I made a few experiments at home with some friends. Without letting them know what was I going to do and why was I doing it so that no placebo effect came into the equiation. 100% said! hey what have you done... It sounds different..l for the better, and I agree. It actually is a lousy discovery as I now feel compelled to reconvert the CD with this method. Only something like ~3000+ albums... Ouch. But YMMV....
  15. No suggestions for LH labs Geek Out and izotope SRC settings?
