So I'm very new to all of this and sorry if I'm asking something foolish. I was wondering if the Maverick D1 is what I needed. I have a set of Klipsch Promedia 2.1 and wanted to use them as my main audio and movie speaker. I was going to get the Maverick D1 and use a RCA converter to put the output to the speakers. For the inputs I would use my Mac via usb or s/pdif, tv (only has optical out). Then connected to my TV via HDMI is my cablebox and ps3. I would be using my ps3 as a cd player at times. The one issue I have is if I'm going to be able to use my tv's volume even if I'm using audio out because the D1 is only analogue controls. I thought that this was a good budget option that also gives me a nice tube amp for my headphones. What do you guys think? Is there a better option out there for me? I have a budget of around 250ish.
