Been running the beta for about 40 days now and after a few bumps, it is now running smoothly with JRiver MC25. Had no trouble with the VST Plugins. I really like the new GUI for the Live Calibration, no more switching back and forth from Oblique, to Front, to Top views to get an idea where the mic placement is next. It recognized my mic and installed the saved calibration file automatically. Only thing I am looking forward to now is it's actual live release. I just got an email and they are extending the beta period while they tweak the software. I will buy this as soon as it hits the streets. Oh, my system is simple, Dell Inspiron 7569, i7, running Jriver and Dirac to Schitt Bifrost, Saxon A-700 Intergrated to Audes Blues. Lately when I boot my new laptop, Tidal loads up at startup. I have deleted it from the Startup folder, checked the shellstartup and it is not there, and deleted it from the start menu in the Services tab. Why is it still loading at startup? Using Windows 10 with TIdal desktop application.

Getting the following message..Output device "Speakers(Speaker)' is occupied by an unknown application.Please shut down any applications that might be using it to enable streaming. Last night I was fine after installing the Schitt drivers as per the reply to my earlier post. Tonight I open JRiver and get this message with JRiver and Tidal. Dirac is chosen as default and Speaker is my sound card.

If I am sending the USB output of my laptop to USB in on Schitt, what is the best way to send hi-res to the DAC. ASIO and Realtek HD Audio(Kernel Streaming) do not support hi-res files. What can I do?

Sorry to bother the community with stupid questions, but, if I do use the Realtek speaker out as a :sound card", how do I change the sampling rate in the properties dialog? My older laptop could do up to 32bit 192,000 and this new one can only do 24bit 24,000

PS I need to be able to playback different sampling rates, have a collection of 96/24 and 192/24 along with 88 and 176

Okay, so I have a new Inspiron 15 7000 series, i7,16gRAM, etc. I am going to use this to also be my music playback device so I have installed Dirac. When I install Dirac Audio Processor and click Output Device, I get 2 choices, Kernel Streaming(Realtek HD Audio Output) or ASIO(Realtek ASIO). I would like to be able to use WASAPI, which was what I used in my old laptop. I have no outboard sound card, just feeding USB to my Schitt Bifrost. Which of the 3 choices is best and how do I do adjustments on WASAPI or ASIO, or better yet, how do I access those attributes.

My old laptop, with Tidal and MC22 on it is beginning to have problems with the on board video. I just bought a new one and, this may be a dumb question, can I use the old laptop with my external drive attached(music), place it in the audio rack near my Schitt Bifrost and control it with JRemote? If there is another way to run Tidal and JRiver from a tablet or phone that controls the laptop, please clue me in. I would love to be able to use this set up to feed my Schitt, then into my intergrated amp.
