  1. Fiber optic media converter are very cheap so no harm in trying, I use a TP Link. My chain: Internet service provider's router > fiber media converter > into SOTM network switch sfp port > To ACS10 via Ethernet cable > ACS10 to N20 via Ethernet cable. Does it help, well this is a deep rabbit hole topic. I am in peace knowing at least I have isolation via fiber and then double galvanic isolation On the ACS10 and N20. Some people are using cascading network switches with all sorts of isolation fiber and normal ethernet. I wanted to isolate at least one point with fiber before it went into my SOTM network switch!
  2. I have a question for the N20 owners, as mine runs significantly hotter than the N10 and the ACS10. Not sure if this is normal, I mean it's amplifier level hot, not very comfortable to keep my hands on the top for long. I dont want to bother Aurender support, if this is normal.
  3. I have Roon Lifetime and have barely touched it last 2 years. My friend who had Auralic before switching to Aurender says the Aurender App is better. Nothing in this world is perfect, there are no perfect app or software. I have hardly any issues with anything Aurender related but when I do Aurender support is on it asap. I frankly can't think of a better platform in the streaming world!
  4. @Noushy hey bud I sent you a PM whenever you get time please have a look and respond, thanks
  5. Thanks for the update, I just wanted to have a bigger cache ssd and ram as the higher model ACS10. Did you not update the ram, they are so cheap, also what brand 240gb ssd did it have from the factory, just curious?
  6. Question for MSB DAC owners. I have a BNC clock cable from my MSB Premier word clock output going into the N20 clock input, both are also connected by aes xlr as well. In the future if I decide to get an Aurender MC10 master clock, would I get better sound connecting the MC10 and N20 and taking MSB out of the equation? Since MSB does not have a Master Clock input like DCS is it even beneficial or it's best I just sysn the MSB and N20 and not bother with a Master clock. I forgot to state that I also have a sotm network switch with clock input.
  7. I am sure I was mirroring my wife's thoughts more than mine, for sure she won't be impressed with another audio purchase, oh well 🤷 😅
  8. I have an ACS10 incoming, not sure I needed it but my dealer who sold me the N20 gave me a smoking sweet deal and I jumped on it rather impulsively, lol. I am planning on changing out the 2 x 8tb hard drives to the largest currently available 2 x 20tb/22tb drives, upgrading the ram to 16gb and the ssd cache drive to 480gb or higher. I will have to clone the ssd cache drive but it's not a problem, I did it for the N10 which I owned before 😉
  9. I choose to go with regular spinning Seagate Barracuda 2.5 inch 5TB drives. If the Aurender ACS10 has 3.5 inch spinning drives and every one is fine with that, I'm sure I will be too. My Seagate Barracuda lasted 7 years without failure inside the N10 so I'm sure it will be fine in the N20!
  10. Angie has a Audio store in Toronto called 'American Sound'. She has been in the business over 40 years.
  11. I have a question about which storage disk to get for my N20, I know everyone says to get a SSD, but given we have a separate cache drive, if I get old school spinning sata drives is it detrimental to the sound. On my previous N10 once the music was cached I never heard them spinning. I want to know if SSD have any true sonic benefits over spinning hard drives, or it's just the noise.
  12. Sold my N10 last weekend and picked up a new N20 today. Finally am able to utilize the Word Clock output from my MSB Premier. There is a definite refinement to the sound compared to the N10 hard to describe there is more depth more silence:) So happy with the the stellar support from @AurenderAmerica team that I didn't even bother looking at another brand!
  13. @AurenderAmerica Ari could you please respond to my question when you get a chance, thanks
  14. Hi Ari, Can you please let me know if the MC20 also works for MSB DACs which have a Word Sync output. MSB does not do 10MHz I believe, which means the MC10 won't work with it but the MC20 should? TIA
