Since posting the above, I have bought version 1.0 from the App Store. I feel you deserve support after all the time and effort you have put in. Richard

Firstly, Tim an apology for not being a part of the team helping you with the various hiccups during the development. Maybe I was lucky, but all seemed to work fine with my Northstar Essensio. I have had a chance now to listen to the new version (although I am still using the last beta you sent around as you said it was the same) and I am sure it is really good. There is more magic about the sound all round. Cleaner, easier to hear around the instruments, if that makes sense. So I want to thank you for all the hard work you have put in here. It must have been daunting at times with all the niggles, but you have succeeded. So thank you! I have tried all sorts of ways to copy that info. I can copy all that is shown by keying shift + CMD + 4. But that will only copy a tiny part of the total, only that which is visible. Believe me I have tried right clicking, Ctrl + left click, etc. I cannot even highlight all the contents using CMD + A I want to help. I believe in this program, it is the first one that I can definitely hear the improvements. The cost is peanuts compared to its improvements to my system. Worth at least an amp upgrade to me.

@agentsim Thank you very much. I have posted about Bitperfect on the Naim Forum. Naim do not support USB inputs on any of their digital kit, for reasons only known to them, preferring their customers choose a NAS device with all the consequences of networking. So they may remove it. I am on my iPad and I don't know how to open a new tag or window, otherwise I would post the link. But please can you or anyone tell me how to copy the contents of Device Info box?

Just wanted to add to my post. I said my DAC (Northstar Essensio) did not support Integer mode. Wrong. I find that it does, or at least, I can enable it in preferences and it stays enabled. But irrespective of that setting, I have found that when I leave the up-sample box ticked, but also choose to upsample only 2X or 4X, then it does not up-sample at all. The lock LED on the DAC remains stuck on 44.1kHz. If I uncheck this box, then after the next track it then shows 192kHz as the lock sample rate. Perhaps this is just a minor bug. I would happily Email the Device Settings if I knew how to do it. I cannot copy any of the settings within that box I am not a computer guru, so help please!

I was sent the link and some info about Bitperfect, so decided to give it a try. What the Hell? At this price, about the cost of a pint, I couldn't resist. Excellent! Congrats on a lovely piece of software. I have used Amarra and I actually paid for Pure Music, but I never noticed any sonic improvement. It was also a bit quirky - I didn't like the way it seemed to slow down iTunes responses to pausing a track or when trying to delete a track off a Playlist. No such problems with Bitperfect. But best of all, the SQ is far better! The bass seems deeper and more informative, the background instruments in a mix are far easier to hear, but the real major change/improvement for me is the imaging. I have never really noticed the imaging on my system. It wasn't bad, just not in the same league as with Bitperfect. Now it is much sharper, voices can be more clearly identified in their respective positions. There is air around the instruments. I have only installed it earlier this evening, so still experimenting, but so far no down side whatsoever. My system is MacBook Pro 15 (new model) with 4 Gigs of RAM, Northstar Essensio DAC, Naim Qute (used purely for volume control purposes), Naim 250.2 and PMC OB1i speakers. I find that my DAC does not support Integer mode (boo. . ) but the up sampling does (hooray. . ) After clicking on up sampling I find my signal lock LED now shows it is locked at 192kHz, previously it was permanently showing 44.1. A really nice, neat bit of software. Thank you.
