  1. I do not know.:) I just do not want to find out later that I missed something of value and have to rip everything again. “Log Checker” seems important, the “File Naming”, “CD rip” settings and so on. Do you see anything wrong with this guide for example? Could I follow this guide and be done with it with peace of mind?:)
  2. Hi, I just bought a Mac Mini M2, left ROON and will use Audirvāna Studio. I’ve read that XLD is the best ripping software for Mac. I’ve also read and viewed some “best settings for XLD” on blogs and YouTube, but they seem quite different. Is there a guide that you guys can recommend that will work well with Audirvāna? I got around 800CD:s that I would like to convert into FLAC. I’ve used EAC and dBpoweramp in the past with varying results. But I would like to get it right from the start this time.:)
  3. Ok, I have now had more time to compare. There is a definitive difference with my gear according to my ears. No night and day difference but easy to recognise. The first cable between router and streamer gave more body and took away some of the edge. It dampened the sound though and took away some of the excitement. Supra cables between PoE-adapter ->router and ROCK ROCK ->router gave further differences. I kept the body but the sound opened up more and was more detailed. A background guitar did for example pop out more and was easier to follow and a backup vocalist was more clearly defined and easier to follow in the soundstage. I actually tried a Supra CAT-cable way back with a Allo streamer. I had I grounding issue then and returned it. I have not had any issues this time. I could and would have returned the cables if there was no positive difference. But I would say that they are well worth the small investment in my system. I personally would not buy clearly more expensive cables though. It is worth noticing that the cables replaced three ultra flat CAT6a patch cables (U/UTP). They seem inferior to much that is out there. There is maybe far less difference between better standard (non-hifi) cables and the Supra.
  4. I actually (sadly) noticed a difference with the Supra between router and streamer. I had more of a “digital glare?” before. It is a bit more smooth and pleasant now. A already had a Supra on the way. The Supra is a bit cheaper so I think I will go for more of those. You think that the Meicord is clearly better?
  5. Hi, It looks like this: Fiber connection -> Ethernet cable -> Ubiquiti PoE adapter -> Ethernet cable -> Edgerouter X -> Ethernet cable -> UniFi AC Lite ROON ROCK computer and Streamer connected to the Edgerouter X with ethernet. Thinking of trying some Supra CAT 8 cables. Would I have to change all ethernet cables to notice any (possible) difference or could I start with with the streamer for example? I do not have any issues but are curious to see if I can notice any difference in my system. Cheers.😀
  6. No one is using a usb powered dac?
  7. Correct, it is a DAC-card for their amps. I think it is USB-powered because the DAC is recogniced in ROON, even when the amp is turned OFF.
  8. I wonder how it is with USB Bridge Sign and USB powered DAC:s. Is that a disadvantage (it feels like that)? Could it be a problem with power requirements? I was planning on using this https://www.schiit.com/products/true-multibit-card
  9. That sounds very interesting. Can I read more about it somewhere?
  10. The 5v 1a will not be in use in my system. Thinking therefore of getting a cheap DSD DAC to complement my R2R. I noticed that many Topping DAC:s has a rated input of 5v 1a. Would that work for example? Any other suggestions?
  11. Thank you for your very informative answer. I was hoping that the difference wouldn't be that big. I now had to order the USBBridge sign with the Shanti. Sad though that it is so big and not that good looking. I'm having big hopes that it will sound clearly better than DAC directly connected to My NUC.
  12. Thanks, I see. Has anyone compared the USBBridge Sign with the Allo SMPS and could try to estimate how much better it with the Shanti? Are we talking 5/15/30% better?😀 Just asking because I would be happy with the same performance as the digione with the SMPS to start with.
  13. Thinking of buying the USBridge Signature Player. I will only use it with a USB-DAC so no need for a DigiOne Signature. I had a DigiOne player (non signature) in the past and was happy with its audio performance (with ALLO:S SMPS). Would the USBridge Signature Player with the SMPS maybe be on a similar level? I would prefer to wait with the Shanti, if it's not a must have. I would only use one of the two Shanti outputs with the USBridge Signature anyhow?
  14. Hello, I've notice a noise from my Digione Player when standing close to it. Is this normal? It is like a high pitched noise (also appear when nothing is connected and without SD card) I tried changing the DBi board but the noise is still there. It is the Digione 1.2 board. I noticed that the 1.1 board is more quitet. Thanks.
  15. Hi, Could someone please tell me if I can safely use this LPSU with my DigiOne Player? I was using it before with a Beresford Caiman MKII DAC with great results. Thanks,
