1. Using MOG desktop on a MBP it seems to stall after the first track of an album and stops playing. Plus artists I've marked as favorite disappear after closing.
 2. Glad I held off on buying airfoil. It seemed overpriced to me. Now what do I do with the 12' toslink cable I bought from monoprice? :-(
 3. I've just downloaded the MOG app on Mac. Airplay works seamlessly. I love the instant access to content and audio quality is pretty good. Good enough that there are plenty of CDs I would NOT buy and use this service instead. I'll save my cash for those discs that I really want that last degree of fidelity.

Having a native app certainly helps with navigation. (forget the Roku app). Still there's a long way to go in finding new content. The top album charts are POP centric. Which is fine if you like Jay Z. I'd love to see chart lists broken down by genre. Also if would be great if they had an intelligent recommendation system like Netflix or the iTunes genius.
Is Spotify better on this?
 4. I guess I would prefer to see "original release date" and be able to choose if I want to see the "re-release" or "re-master" date. One strategy I use to find new music is to start with an album I like and check out the album released before and after. If you look at the MOG listing of Pink Floyd albums you're not able to see that preceding "Dark side of the Moon" was "Obscured by Clouds" and "Meddle" or just after came "Wish you were here" (if you didn't already know). Of course there are times when knowing if a album is the re-mastered version is good too.
5. I decided to try MOG based on this article. So far my experience has been mixed. I like having access to all this music and have already discovered a lot of new music. Then again the experience GETTING access is often frustrating. I've noticed several times now that the interface lags and just doesn't respond both on my Mac running Firefox and on the Roku channel. I have a 9 Mbit connection so I don't think its a bandwidth problem. Then the interface between the browser version and the Roku channel are less than stellar. Finding stuff on the Roku channel is slow and frustrating. I'd like to have a solution for piping music from my Mac to my main system wirelessly without having to shell out $25 for airfoil. I had hoped using the Roku channel would work but I've found when you add stuff to your favorites it doesn't even show up on the Roku. It will show your history so you can sometimes make that work. So far for $4.99 a month I don't think I'll cancel but I hope they work out some of the interface hitches sometime soon.

Other quibbles: Their dating of albums is totally screwed up. The "release date" often has no relation to the actual release date of an album. Forget about sorting albums by date.

Probably no surprise but the music they have skews heavily to rock/rap. So far I've found the catalog of classical and jazz kind of thin with some laughably cheapo titles that are just crap.

I haven't really tried anything else but I have to wonder is this really the best out there?
