I thought you folks might have background to help even though the question concerns an old Panasonic SV-3700 DAT
and not a DAC. The DAT has two digital outs a AES/EBU and a IECTYPE II 598 jacks. I understand AES would be cleanest transfer to computer and usb port on computer would the digital in from DAT, but how to mary AES to USB is the obvious problem. Do I buy a sound card that plugs into USB of PC and then the AES plugs into the sound card? Any and all suggestions are welcome as my tech savy is Older Than My DAT.
