Thank you very much for the explination. Agree re disk storage being so cheap. I have a good portion of my music files in apple lossless format and just started reading about aiff format. I think I am going to start using it from now on to rip my music in! Thanks again!

For those who are ripping at AIFF. Have you noticed the bit rate is set to 1411 on completed files? I have ripped two disc's so far and both have the 1411 bit rate. Is this normal? One was from a cd and the other was from a FLAC to AIFF conversion. All using XLD.
