  1. Yes, the volume of the IPhone is at maximum.
  2. Thanks gmgraves. When I listen to my IPhone over my car's stereo system whether bluetooth, AUX or USB, music will not play as loudly as I want it to. I can almost turn my car stereo's volume to maximum when listening to music. I understand about how to connect my IPhone to the car. The problem is that the car stereo amplifier and phone combined do not have enough gain (volume), so I want to try and boost the gain of the signal from the IPhone with an outboard amplifier. I was wondering about whether the FIIO E7k could be used to boost the volume from my IPhone coming out of my car speaker system.
  3. Can I play music from my IPhone into a portable amplifier like a FiiO E7K then over my cars stereo system? I have the following inputs in my car: AUX, USB, and Bluetooth. I am trying to boost the audio signal of the IPhone which is rather weak and needs boosting when run through my car stereo. Or is there something else to accomplish this better? Thank you.
  4. Thank you zacster for the very detailed effort and response. Thank you Cebolla too- and firedog Opinions on Sound Quality: Considering that I want to run the signal through a PS Audio Nuwave DAC - would the Sound Quality comparing an Airport Express to the Chromecast Audio even matter? 1. How would I connect a Chromecast Audio to my PS Audio Nuwave DAC to the NAD C375BEE integrated and stream my Youtube playlists from a PC using the Chrome browser? 2. How would I connect an Airport Express to accomplish the same streaming as #1 with the Chrome browser into a PS Audio Nuwave DAC to the NAD C375BEE? Thank you for your help
  5. Sorry Cebolla, yes I mean accessing the Youtube website and playing my playlists on the Chrome browser. Thanks for hanging in there with me.
  6. Zacster thanks, that's interesting. Many folks online keep recommending this Raspberry Pi but I know nothing about it. 1.Where can I purchase a Raspberry Pi for $60? 2. Is it a device that can be returned for a refund? 3. would I connect the PI to my PC? Which cables do I need? 4. Do I download Volumio to my PC? 5. Once I connect the Raspberry Pi, will it it allow me to stream content from the Youtube website like my Youtube playlists? 6. Is this streaming over Wi-Fi? 7. The Raspberry Pi would allow me to stream from my PC to my NAD integrated and have my PS Audio DAC in the chain? Thanks
  7. Thanks guys, doesn't Chromecast Audio limit you to streaming certain supported music apps like the Youtube.Premium but will not stream free basic Youtube like my playlists? Playlists are want I want to listen to among other things.
  8. Hi everyone, I need your help with a solution for streaming. My Windows 7 PC is in my office and my NAD C375BEE and PS Audio Nuwave DAC is in my family room. I want to stream websites with internet radio, my Youtube playlists , Spotify etc via Wi-Fi from my PC to my NAD integrated. I've tried Blutetooth but it dropped out constantly and the Sound Quality was sub par when it wasn't dropping out. My NAD is about 26 feet from my PC with 2 walls in between. (drop outs are a constant problem at that distance) Tried the following streaming devices that dropped constantly: 1. Audioengine W3 2. Audioengine B1 3. NAD DAC 2 Looking for a relatively inexpensive Wi-Fi solution for streaming any and all internet content from my PC to my NAD. What do you recommend? I don't like Bluetooth at all. Thank you for your suggestions!
  9. I play ripped CD's, internet radio and Youtube on my stereo from a MacBook Pro to PS Audio Nuwave DAC. I have hundreds of songs on various Youtube playlists I listen to. Would a Bluesound Node 2 give me better sound quality connected to the Nuwave DAC than I can get with the MacBook Pro while streaming Youtube? I know it's mp3 quality! So don't beat me up! And how would I connect the Node 2. Can I eliminate the MacBook Pro all together? The Node 2 has no screen. How's that work to choose the websites? Or do I connect it to the Macbook Pro? Thanks in advance
  10. JDRodrigues, thank you for the very detailed query into my problem with intermittent static. I finally solved the problem! I took my MBP to Apple and requested that they download and old macOSX (Mountain Lion). I wanted to see if the operating system I'm using was causing the static issue. After the new change in OSx. once I connected the MBP to my Peachtree DAC with the Audiophilleo 2, the intermittent static I experienced for almost a year is gone! So for my setup, I have been having static problems with 2 different MAC OSX, and an older version eliminated it. I went from Sierra, to High Sierra, to Yosemite to Mountain Lion and the last OSx ended the issue. Unfortunately Mountain Lion is no longer supported, so that's an issue. But my music is static-free now.
  11. 4est , lowered as in not as prominent- softer mvilla, in outputi the Macbook Pro indicates audiophilleo2 v.135 SN02002
  12. 4est, I haven't tried any DACs and the AP2 with a PC. I did try adjusting the bit depth and the static seemed to be lowered but not eliminated.
  13. yeah mansr- I sent my 2013 AP2 to Philip G to check out. He had it for quite a while and found nothing amiss with it. He was unable to replicate the intermittent static. He made many different suggestions and asked questions. I even brought home a workmate's MacBook Pro to see if my MBP could be the problem, and the intermittent static occurred with the other MBP too!. Eventually I asked Philip G if he would trade me one of his AP2's for my AP2. He agreed to trade and sent me one of his AP2 test units, and the intermittent static sound still occurs! I have a linear power supply on the way to replace the switching mode supply for my Peachtree DAC ITx, is it possible that could make a difference? Every DAC where I had this static problem had a wall wart.
