1. MOG recently released a new Windows app and a dedicated iPad app - I'm very impressed with both (the browser still works too although the Mac and Windows clients both are advertised to have a better decoder and have native airplay support)

However, I did see MOG was sold - hopefully it doesn't change the service for the worse.
http://gigaom.com/2012/03/23/say-what-how-much-did-mog-sell-for-what-is-spotify-valued-at-now/?utm_source=feedburner
2. MOG did have a service failure for a couple hours about 2 weeks ago... neither iPhone or web worked. However anything downloaded/cached to the phone worked just fine.

I've run MOG on 3GS and 4S without any issues. If you are having some, you may need to update your iOS.

I noticed last night that Rhapsody has updated their app to support Higher Quality Audio. Anybody know details? I did a quick search and didn't see anything specific. In App store, it appears they are having some issues still with this release.

I am a big MOG fan, but still have Slacker for "channels" (when I don't want to pick something, just want Blues or whatever to play). Hoping future MOG releases support this functionality (not a huge fan of their radio feature although it has improved lately).
 3. send them an email at [email protected]. I've had several friends recently join that didn't want Facebook integration and MOG sent them a different link to join with.
 4. I did a quick search earlier today. The general gist I got was that since they are VC funded, there is always talk about being sold if the price is right but nothing unique right now. That said, I would not be surprised if there was some consolidation... Too many players for too few customers. If MOG is one (hope not), I'd blame it on too long to get their new update out. The music is awesome but their site/apps are falling behind (finally getting better with their recommendations, etc). I think their new release is imminent though, I'm hoping it sparks new life.
 5. I was at the Music Matters last night in Raleigh - great event and it was a pleasure to meet you in person.
 6. They claim to have an iPad app in development/testing and also an iPhone app update coming very soon.
 7. I've been going through all the services... And I'm on Rdio now. I'm very pleased with it. Easy to use interface, very good mobile apps (iPhone and iPad), and decent sound quality (320k) on PC (read that on their help site somewhere), supports caching to mobile, and is pretty speedy. I'm currently subscribed to MOG (good selection) and Slacker (love their stations for background listening) but I would definitely say Rdio is worth checking out... so far they seem to have the least amount of negatives of the bunch.
 8. Oops, you are right, sorry. I only use these types of services on my mobile devices (iPhone, iPad) and listen to JRiver (my ripped CDs) when home so it never crossed my others listen to it from their PC. I use the built in AirPlay with these mobile devices.
 9. What is benefit of adding airfoil to the mix? You can stream directly from mog to your appletv device, right? Just select it from the volume area...
 10. Very well done. Like you, I have just recently spent significant time with all the providers, and settled on 3 for more analysis (Mog, Spotify, Slacker). I'd be interested in your feedback if you've tried Slacker. At this time, I think I've settled on it as my main solution, but it's still not perfect.

- they have the best portable app of the 3, both on iphone and iPad. Mog and Spotify do not have an iPad app, and their iPhone app has some challenges (crashing, features that don't work mobile but do on PC, etc)
- they have excellent "radio stations" covering a wide variety of music. They have staff that monitor and maintain these stations. I think this is one of Slackers biggest strengths.
- caching of stations, playlists, albums, songs is very simple and elegant. I can listen to 4 or 5 (or whatever) stations or playlists, and then refresh the cache and it replaces songs I've listened to, updates my ratings, etc all in 1 step.
- news channel. I know, it's not music, but it's great to turn on the news any time you want and get caught up.
- Their premium plan allows you to pick songs, create playlists, etc. I admit, this is their weakest point against the other 2 options - they have some holes in their offering. I hope/expect this will improve over time.

I think if I could combine all 3 services, I'd be happiest!
