  1. I have an Apple TV and Apple TV2 as well. Now I understand the Apple TV streams in the same native bit rate and sample rate as what is on my iMac. Apple TV 2 does not, it gets up sampled to 48 before going to the Apple TV2. So its stands that I would not need a Mac Mini necessarily and can use my Apple TV. The apple TV 2 on the other hand will change the sample rate. Am I wrong?
  2. Hey guys, I've been lurking awhile, but haven't really posted until now. I had a question regarding iTunes Home sharing. Does it stream the exact bit for bit data for a song to, say a Mac Mini, and then the Mac Mini decodes and plays? I ask, because I use my iMac for my home office purposes and need to sync my iPad and iPod to it, so I'd like to keep my iMac as the main "server." I'd like to stream to the MacMini located on my music rig, but just want to make sure that the songs that I've ripped AIFF will be seen exactly as that by the MacMini. Thanks in advance. Great forum and website, BTW.
