  1. I have recently upgraded to a Denon 43211CI. I have connected it to my Windows PC (Windows 7) using ethernet and HDMI. It has Airplay for my iTune files. However, I would like to know the best way, sound quality wise, to hook up the AVR and computer in order to use Foobar2000 to play my FLAC files. I am assuming the goal is to bypass the computer's sound card and use the AVR as the DAC. I can play Foobar now through the HDMI but I do not believe I am bypassing the computer's sound card, or am I? All my audio files are stored on a external hard drive. There are no coaxial or optical outputs on the computer. I can play Flac files using Windows Media Server but tagging issues results in most files being interpreted as "unknown album" and "unknown artist". I don't really have the time to go back a re-tag all my files. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
