  1. The UI performance of the Mac version definitely needs to be improved. Scrolling in album and list views is miserably (and imho unacceptably) slow. That with a default install on three of my Macs (with retina mode disabled). I briefly tried the Windows version, much better and acceptable performance. And the scrolling in JRemote is simply fluid. It is easy to point to my Macs, of course something could be wrong. But with all of them the UI performance in Audirvana is excellent, the (lazy loading) scrolling is fast and fluid. Good (and bad) news is that three days after I bought the Mac license there is now a master license available for Windows, Mac and Linux versions.
  2. I replaced my Macbook Pro with Audirvana+2 with a tiny, headless computer with Daphile installed (see the other thread under Music Servers) and control it with an iPad app called iPeng8. Maintenance (but also control) can be done through it's web interface. For me it sounds at least as good as the MBP with Audirvana, and the iPad control interface is so much more convenient.
  3. Currently I am feeding a NAD M2 through a Halide Bridge from a Macbook Air with Audirvana. Not bad at all, but I want a dedicated music server with iPad remote control. I just could go out and buy a Aurender S10, hook it up by means of AES-EBU (or SPDIF) and call it a day. It would be much more fun (and a little cheaper) to build a C.A.P.S. 2.0 (assuming that the JRiver iPad app is working properly). So a simple question: Is a USB bridge (like the Halide bridge) really the best way to feed the NAD, or is modified C.A.P.S. with an AES-EBU board (like the Lynx) even better sounding? Any thoughts? Thanks...
  4. Bought it from the Appstore. I really like the simple UI that gets fully out of the way of iTunes. It is a pity however that playing files through home sharing does not work (this isn’t technically possible??).
