  1. a simple google (“usb to toslink adapter 96”) results in several (eg: Cubilux, DSD Audio, Douk) including some claiming 192.
  2. when I joined (13 years ago) it was one of my favourite resources of the site; found it very useful indeed. (just in case you need further encouragement Chris ! 😆)
  3. don’t think there’s any “right” answer… you’ve already picked up the key problems (placement, wall-mounted rear port). In your shoes I’d be trying different solutions by temporarily putting them on books or whatever, and moving them around to see what sounds best with a range of music. I don’t think there is a theoretical answer that will help you, apart from common-sense like not putting them too far apart so there’s a hole in the middle etc.
  4. I didn’t read it that way at all; I read it as a helpful post to a genuine product, but it shows how different people think different ways.
  5. that copper baseplate is thermal. In this situation Heat transfer is not just conductive, but radiative & convective as well, and it also acts as a huge heat buffer. (IMO it would have little to no extra value as EM shielding in that location, on the underside, where there’s already a big chunk of aluminium, so hard to believe they’d spend so much on copper for a probably marginal/ non-existent benefit)
  6. Siri obviously doesn’t recognise your pronunciation ?
  7. did read somewhere about using root folders so as to minimise the total length of the pathname… don’t know if that’s relevant for you/ might help ?
  8. what data are you moving around that needs Gb data rates ?
  9. not in this particular case…. that shoreline is also the inspiration for “..down to the waterline…”
  10. it is the sound of a quality design implementation.… just enjoy it.
  11. 275,000 views is an awful lot of people ! 3,000 posts means only 1 out of 100 write something, so 99 just watch !
  12. well there doesn’t seem to be any way to “prepare” an SSD for such a swap, so your only choice is to either try it or not ! If it works: ✅ if it doesn’t: you’ve lost nothing & would anyway have to reload the music from your master But do let us know ? It’d be useful info for others I’m sure.
  13. I believe there is a “Clone” function in the Conductor app menu. I never used it and no longer have my Aurender to check, but pretty sure I saw a function that is used to transfer across to a new Aurender….
