  1. Hi - the person who started this petition posted a link on What Hi-Fi, but I thought I'd post this here and it seems worthy of a wider audience! Petition | Record Lables: Release High Definition music downloads | Change.org

Yes very well done - I'm sure it will prove very popular!
  3. Excuse me if this is a little off topic, but it may be something for the OP to watch out for - I have my iTunes library stored on a NAS drive, when I select 'iTunes server' in iTunes, not all my tracks are listed there. All are visible and accessible when searching through the normal 'library: music' view. Any ideas why this might be anyone?

Hi agentsim - Just to let you know that I downloaded your latest version above and I was playing some stuff tonight. It was sounding really good, but I did have an issue with it skipping tracks. It both skipped forward from the track currently playing to the next track, and forwards (and I think backwards too) within the track that was currently playing. I tried increasing the buffer size (from 256 to 512 mb) but it was still doing it. Cheers
  6. Depending on where your router is, can you situate the Airport Express near your hifi and connect it to your router via an ethernet cable, then on to your DAC with a normal length of coax or optical cable. Ethernet doesn't have the same limitation on length that any audio interconnect does (including optical).
  7. Pray tell how does one obtain this 'high quality' version of Californication?

Hi, Are there any instructions as part of the app package - I took a look but couldn't see any? How does one enable Hog mode - I can't see any option in preferences. Cheers Dan

Hi Agentsim - great that you've set-up this thread. So given that BitPerfect runs in the background and the user just interacts with iTunes, I guess as long as BP is running then i can just select tracks with different sample rates one after the other in iTunes and BP will just automatically switch the sample rate to match the track - is that right? Sorry if that's a dumb question, I just wanted to check that it really was that easy! Cheers
  12. Thanks David - good to know I'm not the only one. I've taken a look at the thread linked above where the developer and his beta testers are in dialogue, so I think i'm going to keep an eye on that and maybe get the first 'proper' release or at least wait until the bugs settle down! cheers.
  13. Hi - I'm a new joiner to the forum here, but have visited the CA site from time to time for a while now. I liked the sound of BitPerfect, especially that it runs in the background leaving you to interact only with iTunes. So I downloaded it and got it working fine, or so I thought until I discovered a loud blast of random noise upon transition from each track to the next. Has anyone else experienced something like that or are there any ideas what might be causing that? Cheers Dan
