  1. Hi All, Just a quick update and hopefully some encouragement for others on this crazy digital journey. For the 1st time, I’m now able to upsample to DSD512 with ASDM7ECv2 and poly-sinc-gauss-xla with NO dropouts. Yes DSD512 is possible with some of the highest filters, but does require one to download the latest AMD optimised version of HQPlayer from the website (special directory) Amazing result. Thanks Miska Current Setup Roon / HQ Player Server AMD Ryzen 5800x RTX3060TI 64Gb of Ram Fanless PSU Fully Passive case from Turemetal UP10 Ubuntu 20.10 HQplayer 4.15.4.66amd-amd64 Roon End Point Intel i5 32 Gb of Ram JCAT Femto USB powered externally JCAT Ethernet Card powered externally HDPlex 400w LPS HDPlex H5 Case all passive. No fans HQPlayer embedded OS. Running off a USB stick EternetRegen with fibre from the switch any other tweaks I should be considering?
  2. Confirmed. NAA OS does work with the JCAT Network card and the JCAT Femto dual headed USB card, as I have the same. No issues to report
  3. Quick update: Works perfectly with the Uptone EtherRegen appliance once plugged back in. I’m a happy camper. Thanks Miska !!
  4. Ok, I downloaded the following version from "Other Downloads" and ensured Multicore DSP is Greyed hqplayer4desktop_4.15.4-66amd_amd64.deb Seems to be quite stable now;. No dropout thus far. Thank you Miska :-)
  5. Yes, I'm using HQPlayer 4.15.4 as obtained from your website with the title "Download for Ubuntu 20.04"
  6. Thanks Miska. If I do that, the music keeps stuttering every 20-30 seconds or so and only 1-2 CPU cores are actually used. By having it Multicore Fully Ticked, I can see a large number of CPU cores are active
  7. I have the following settings, which plays with greater consistency with minimal dropouts, but experience a horrible constant machine gun type stutter every 20 min or so, which can only be solved by stopping and starting again. thoughts? AMD Ryzen 3800X RTX3060ti 64 Gb Ram Ubuntu 20.10 NVIDIA 95.46 driver
  8. For some reason Convolution is always turned off when I look at the bottom status bar
  9. Hi Miska, 1/ Buffer is set to 100ms 2/ Multicore DSP is Fully Ticked 3/ CUDA Offload is fully ticked, but not sure how to check if it’s running
  10. Hi All, Normally, If I use DSD256 x 44.1, ASDM7EC or ASDM7ECv2 with poly-sinc-gauss-xla, there is severe stuttering, but I keep these settings and also turn on Convolution (with no other adjustments), just have it ticked, the stuttering goes away completely. Any reason why this might be happening? Also, Convolution is turned on, are there any particular settings one should be considering 1st? I'm using HQPlayer v4.15.4, with Ryzen 5800x, RTX3060ti and 64Gb memory on Ubuntu 20.10 and an i5 computer running Roon OS for NAA Thanks
  11. Hi Miska, Where or how can I get an AMD Ryzen Optimised version of Ubuntu 21.10. Thanks
  12. Hi Miska, I've installed Nvidia 495.46 on Ubuntu, but still getting dropouts using DSD256, ADM7EC and poly-sinc-mp, buffer time 250ms, DAC Bits 28, Multicore DSP (grey box), Adaptive output rate (grey box), CUDA Offload (Full Tick) If I use ADM7, then the problem disappears. Anything else I should be tweaking on this powerful computer: Ryzen 5800x, RTX 3060 TI, 64Gb RAM to enable DSD256, ADM7EC and poly-sinc-mp reliably?
  13. Hi All, On Ubuntu 21.10, I'm running the Nvidia-470 version of the driver. Any speed improvements moving to Nvidia-490? Also, when checking all the cores on the Ryzen, 2 of the cores are sitting near the max, with remainder almost on idle. Just thinking, with all the dropouts using DSD256, ADM7EC and poly-sinc-mp, whether this can help? I do realise I'm clutching at straws, but I really would like to keep the UpTone Etherregen in the mix.
  14. Still there has to be some other settings I can check, like the Asus Ryzen CPU BIOS, NVIDIA Graphics Driver, Ubuntu OS, etc….. Just not sure what I need to be looking for
  15. The drop outs only occur when using DSD256, ADDM7EC and poly-sinc-mp. As Miska stated, the UpTone device is likely maxing out it's available bandwidth ~ 400m/bits
