    I only use AFB and I have not had any issues with it. On some machines I auto mount the drive so it is always available. On others I only mount the drive when I need it. The Synology has a web interface that allows for file management and it also works well. I use it as raw storage and I have not really tested all the features on the NAS. If you look at the list it supports just about everything, you can also hack it and install all kinds of additional features.

    I have a 1511+ and several Macs with Lion accessing it. The new DSM software works well with Lion. Overall Synology software exceeds anything else I have seen out there for an all inclusive package.

    That is good information, if a company wants to become a trusted source of material they need to be very transparent about issues with their product. I think if they pulled the album from sale a refund would be in order for the customers.
