  1. I managed to resolve the problem, I followed advice from a asylum mate who replied my post. It was latency related. I disabled my network devices and things improved dramatically, I still get occasional pops and clicks. I think I can fine tune the setting further that will help. Thanks to all who contributed Dcs Guide to Computer Audio was very helpfull as well: http://www.linkwitzlab.com/dCS_Guide_to_Computer_Audio(2).pdf Thanks
  2. Hi Chris I will try J River and see if it solve the problem Will report back. Thanks
  3. Hi Chris Yes I am connecting via USB and using Media Monkey. I have also used the media player but it did not solve the problem so I do not think it is player related. How do I check my output mode?? I do not know about thew ASIO mode. Thank you
  4. I have successfully been using my Dell Precision M90 (now four years old) with XP (64bit) OS and Media Monkey as a source feeding into my PS Audio Perfectwave DAC. However after upgrading to Windows 7 I have been getting dropout with white noise with all formats (wav, flac, MP3). The music track will play but after a few seconds it is plagued by load hiss (white noise) intermittently. I have reloaded the PS audio driver and played with various settings without any success. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated Thank you.
