Playing just an ordinary Redbook Stereo file, but only music out of left channel .... Mac Mini Late 2009 2GB OSX 10.9.3 Connected firewire to Lio8 Played around with filters etc, but same result ....

So I also only getting the left channel. What am I overlooking ... ?

Hi mjb, thanks for replying. Am using Audirvana, but I think it is Core Audio behavior, not player related. When core audio sees, in my case LIO8 goes offline, core audio will select an alternative device, in my case the Apple TV Airplay. Which I wouldn't mind as long as core audio or osx would jump back to FireWire when LIO8 comes back online, which obviously does not happen, by design. So how to get this "my way..."? Terminal commands...? Automator...?

Seems core audio by design will switch to an alternative device if the playing device has been disconnected. Am using LIO8 on FireWire which is switched off if not used. Is there a way to tell osx to switch back to the FW device if this device comes back up? Trying to prevent user interaction on the headless Mac mini …. drives the wife nuts. aj

Hello doraymon, picked up A+ before x-mass and all is ok now. But a lot changed - upgraded OSX 10.9.1 - A+ -> 1.5.10 - upgraded firmware on Lio8 to 5.0.44 sorry that I can't narrow it down for you what solved it :-x

Nope:After Audirvana is stopped entirely, Spotify refuses to play at all. Seems the DAC is still locked (hogged?) by Audirvana.... Maybe there is a process to kill, but the again, would not be very WAF friendly .... :-\

Actually I fail in switching: Seems to me that both programs do not release the DAC after they are closed. Am on a MCMini late 2009 with ML and Lio8. Rebooting is not very friendly, there must be an other way to let either program release the DAC in an orderly fashion ... ? AJ

Yup, Jon gave me instructions: I managed to skip one of the steps somewhere. Must have been late that night... Integer mode is here. Now trying to discern the differences... No idea when the official release will be... aj

MH-Lab sent some LIO8 users a beta version of the MIO software with integer mode enabled. I hope like me, some of the happy few are CA members, since I can't get it working. Am using Audirvana, Damien and MH confirmed that users have it up and running... me again... Anybody here can share with me how to get it done? Running 2008 Macmini with 2gb of memory. Thanks. aj
