Hi Tim, When I first start playing tracks in iTunes, the first few seconds of the first track played is repeated. Sometimes it is repeated 3 times. It only occurs when the first track is played. It is unrelated to a specific track. It does not happen all the time. Any ideas ?? UPDATE: sometimes it is not just the first few seconds. It has happened near the 10-11 sec. mark also. When I connect my DAC to my iMac via optical it should support 24/192 audio. However, when I look at the top of the Bitperfect window I see " Playing 24/96.0 " even though I am playing a 24/192 track. Am I missing something ?

When connecting my Nuforce HDP via usb to my iMac I am hearing very distorted audio. I have tried changing some settings in the preferences. So far, nothing has worked. When connected by optical I have no issues. I would appreciate any help.

I live in Canada. I also was prevented from purchasing music from HDtracks.com. I sent them an email about this issue. They wrote back and said that if I checked out by using Paypal for payment I could bypass the restriction. They were right. I don't know if it will work for you. Give it a try. Gordon

Nuforce is very vague with regard to jitter measurements of the Icon HD. Mind you, jitter can be measured and reported by different methods which makes product comparisons extremely difficult. Last week I shot off a email to Nuforce asking about this subject, also the async. vs. sync. issue. So far, no response...... Alan, great pics on your site. One of my recent passions is reading/learning all I can on Cosmology/Astronomy/Astrophysics.

Hello to all, I am looking for a external USB interface that will provide a asynchronous digital audio stream to my Nuforce Icon HD USB DAC. The Icon HD only has a USB input. I have looked at the M2TECH hiFace but it's digital output is S/PDIF. I am a newbie, so any assistance would be appreciated. Gordon

I have install 0.32, but am experiencing some loudness issues. The overall volume level is much reduced. I did a direct comparison to iTunes playing vs Bitperfect playing and would estimate that the overall volume level of Bitperfect is down about 40%. Maybe more. Also, the volume level between albums is so different now that I am continually adjusting the volume up & down. These issues did not exist prior to installing 0.32 UPDATE: OOPS ! It seems that Bitperfect & Boom by Global Delight Tech Ltd., do not play nice together. I thought I would uninstall Boom on a hunch. Problem solved. Please ignore my previous stupidity. Sorry about that Tim.
