Having a central place where people can tell us which downloads give the best sound quality is a great idea!
I really had enough with spending a lot of money on rubbish quality music (downloads or any other format) so that's why I decided to build a small site to address this issue.
Check it out at www.audiophile-reviewer.com.
The site only lists a few recordings at the moment (more than half the reviews are for hi-rez downloads) but if people were to share their findings, it could become the biggest independent database of searchable music reviews for audiophiles.
First you have to prove that you have a decent playback system by registering an account. That's why you will asked to describe your system.
I'm trying to exclude people who listen to their music on bad (cheap) systems and therefore won't be able to hear the difference between an MP3 and a studio master at 24/192.
Once registered, members can post their own reviews about their favourite or most hated recordings.
It is totally free!
Without people's help, the site will never really take off so please contribute!
