Pete Seeger was kind of the soundtrack to my childhood. My parents had a multi-record anthology of folk music from the old Folkways Records label featuring Pete Seeger, the Weavers, Woodie Guthrie and many, many others. I loved his music and admired him as a person.

I saw Lou Reed in concert at DAR Constitution Hall back in 1992. It was an awesome show, maybe the best I've seen. I felt like watching part rock star, part poet. Hard to believe he's gone. Rest in peace, Lou.
