    HQ Player

I have just purchased and registered HQ Player, thank you Miska
  2. I use USB Audio Player Pro with a Dragon Fly DAC and I like it very much.
  3. Tronds thank you for this link. After installing it I set the output to my DAC but it does not play. If I unplug it from the DAC it will play fine thru the speakers built into the computer. Has anyone have any ideas why this would be happening?
  4. Hi i have always ripped my CD's with ITunes is this not the best way to do this? Thank you for any help given. Daryl
  5. Hi I use the exact same setup and the USB player Pro works just fine.
  6. XYZ You are correct in the fact counterpoint is not made anymore. But the company AltaVista has continued on as a mod shop. The reason I recommend the amp is I under the impression one can get the amp on the used market. Daryl
  7. I had a pair of Vandersteen's 3's and at the time I had them paired with a CounterPoint NPS 200. The amp is tube input and transistor output. If you are interested here is a link to the website of the builder. Alta Vista Audio Home Page Daryl
  8. The playGo AP1 that was recently listed on the crowdfunding site KickStarter is the simplest implementation we've seen yet. Just hook it up to your hi-fi amplifier or powered speakers using an optical or RCA analog connection and you're set. The diminutive device looks a little like an Apple Time Capsule but has a green ring of light around the matte white chassis. On top, there are some touch-sensitive engraved controls. Inside the little white box, you'll find a high-end 32-Bit Burr-Brown PCM5102 digital-to-analog converter (DAC) which should produce some seriously detailed sound. The receiver is also capable of processing 24bit/96kHz audio files, which allows for high-resolution audio playback. While the AirPlay connectivity is the main highlight, the AP1 is meant to be DLNA certified, too, and even supports Microsoft's new Play To wireless streaming standard. If you're keen to get your hands on this capable wireless audio receiver, a US$199 contribution should land you one of the first 1000 sets. Units are expected to ship worldwide by November. I am looking forward to this coming to fruition. Daryl
  9. I would suggest using the app CleanMyMac to keep it free from all the junk that can accumulate over time. Daryl
