    Is the 24/192 upgrade required to get DSD upgrade? Is it worth getting the 24/192 upgrade if I dont have 24/192 files (does it have any "side benefits"?). The DSD upgrade is supposed to be an overhaul, so maybe that is the one to get instead.

    Can the older 24/96 version be upgraded? Is it equivalent to a new QB9 DSD unit after upgrading? Would it support 24/192 pcm?

    I would NOT want volume control if: 1. It increases cost at ALL. I already have volume control on my integrated. Why pay for this feature if I don't need it? 2. It is digital. I want high quality analog volume control. 3. It cannot be bypassed. Only want a single attenuation point in the system.

    I would really be interested in a comparison between MA1 and Playback Designs MPD-3. Pretty much same price and feature set. Are there any other DACs in this bracket with good high resolution USB input?
