Have you ever thought of Foobar as player with the TouchRemote plugin and remotely control it with the Remote-App by Apple? Much more komfortable and works like charm!
The best: it's all for free!
With the DLNA-plugin you can also access Foobar with any other DLNA App (PlugPlayer, PS Audio's eLyric, etc).
I'm still waiting for J.River to fix their DLNA-implementation to support playlists from Apps (but it seems as they are blocking this for any reason....)
For now, Foobar seems the best sounding alternative.
