Thanks, I will do some comparisons later on to see which works best with my DAC. I also find it strange that the DAC I'm using can play both 44.1 and 48, but only supports 96 and not 88.2.

My current Yulong U100 USB DAC supports up to 24/96. However, for some reason it cannot play 24/88.2 files on foobar2000 WASAPI. My question is would it be better to upsample to 96khz or downsample to 44.1khz before sending the signal to the DAC? I know it's usually best to resample in integer values. Also, is it common for a DAC to support 24/96 but not 24/88.2? In other words, is it possible for me to tweak the configuration so that it can play 88.2?
