  1. I am a digital dummy. Just what do you store your hi res files on to feed the digione signature. A desk top hard disk drive? Thinking about the volumio version and battery powetedclean side I to a peachtree nova I tegratedamp with dac and kef r7's. Or just get a CD transport lol??
  2. No I need some answers I can understand to my questions above. I am a streaming dunce lol. I can handle ordering the digione ok. Want the aluminum case so hope that comes soon. Want the digione player built with volumio installed!! For now more interested in playing flac files from external hard drive and or stick drive. Maybe some internet radio!
  3. Help. I want to order this like yesterday lol. See above post! Thanks.
  4. Ok my issue is I need to use my phone as my Wi Fi provider to the digione for a while. My residence will not have cable internet for another 4 to 6 months and I refuse to go with a satellite rip off provider!! If the UI is loaded on the SD card on the digione then will a touch screen provide playing of files without internet. I do not care about internet radio or tidal streaming yet lol.
  5. Another question as I am pretty dense on these streamer/players. If I want to play flac music files downloaded on my external hard drive or USB stick plugged into the digione do I need to be connected to internet. Also how does the Android ui app connect to the digione. Do I have to physically turn on Wi Fi hotspot on my phone? Is adding the touch screen display worth it or more for looks lol. Excuse my dummy questions please.
  6. PS this is for an upcoming lx mini with +2 subs build. The mini dsp 4x10 with dac's that does the xover filtering does not take USB audio in so must use spdif
  7. Ok I just stumbled in here. I am considering the digione prebuilt with the Volumio. Can I just plug in an external hard drive and or flash drive and play or control the digione from my Android phone with the app. Not into setting up a nas at this time. Help lol!
  8. Hello all, I am new to computer audio but not high end audio and need some help as I am still a computer dummy some what. I am in the process of ripping all my cd's that I care for in wav using mediamonkey as my main player (also have vlc) I am downloading high res 24/96 stuff also. I have some questions. 1- when I install the hrt dac will it automaticaly bypass the mixer in my laptop. OS is windows 7 2- do I need to install asio4all so the bitstream is always at "full volume" in mediamonkey etc. again I am some what computer illiterate. 3- for now my laptop will be shared in my personal room and living room. Personal room has bluesky exo 2 desktop speakers which has a preamp so volume control with the hrt dac should be no issue, however my living room speakers are pluto 2.1 which are active and no volume control. I was using a cheap universal player that had a volume control to control output of the plutos (not ideal) with the music streamer dac I will need a passive volume control?? or what all reccomendations please! I will eventually add a dedicated pc to my living room for play back, But for now I really need a step by step of what programs I need etc with windows 7 to get everything the way it should be with hrt msII and media monkey, no windows mixer and I guess bypassing the volume control in mediamonkey also so bit stream is perfect output. 4- forgot this one. when playing ripped cd's 16/44 and then 24/96 hi res downloads must I switch the format in hrt dac software for each or leave it at 24/96 or what I am confused there also. PLEASE HELP a computer audio newbie! No more cd players for me! Cheers to all, Scott
