What are some of the best sounding choral recordings out there (CD, SACD/DSD or download), with or without music instrument accompaniment? I'm especially interested in recordings that were performed in buildings like cathedrals.

While I have no doubt about the audio quality of Linn Records CDs, SACDs and downloads, may I please ask about the audio quality of any of the 10 Linn Records Super Audio Compact Disc Samplers? I have read that they are a mix of mainly jazz and classical/orchestral selections from some of their albums/discs. Thank you....

Have any of you had any experiences with either the Luxman DA-06 ($4,995), DA-250 ($2,895), or DA-150 ($1,995) DACs? If so, how would you say they compare to other comparably-priced DACs? The 250 and the 150 are also headphone amps, while the 06 lacks a headphone amp. I know Chris did a great review of the DA-06 a few years back.

Here's a question for all -- how often have you found yourself upgrading from one DAC to a new DAC for any reason whatsoever?

Apple unveils new Mac Mini, iPad Pro, and MacBook Air

This sounds good, as I have two Oyen MiniPro 1TB HDDs - both 6 years old and still going strong! -

Well, an external SSD would be an option to consider. I can always consider that at a later time and use it with my 2014 Mac Mini. I wonder if anyone here has a 2014 Mini and if they use an ext. SSD? The only reason I mention all the Shunyata stuff is because they are all I need to finally get my system up and running/burned in optimally. -

Good thing I already got the 2014 mac Mini with 1TB HDD. There is no way in Hell that I am going to pay $2,399 for a 2TB SSD version (aka the new Mini that starts at $799)!!!!! A good $1700 to $2000 would be better spent (and will soon) on a Shunyata Venom PS8 power conditioner with Venom Defender, a Shunyata Delta NR power cable, and the set of 4 iso feet (Shunyata) designed for Venom or Hydra power cond./distrib. They weren't kidding that the new mac Minis would be purely professional applications!! -
Just curious -- is it possible to click/drag/drop all music/metadata data from off of one external HDD directly into another external HDD if both HDDs were connected to one's main computer? No biggie if you can't.........

Blu-ray Audio - Curious

Hi Teresa, Thanks for sharing with us! It's always so cool to hear from you! ? -
That looks like quite a set up! Glad you got to tell me how "awesome" (true 80s lingo) this SACD sounds. I still haven't got a hold of this SACD yet, but will try soon.

First I just want to mention that I received my 2014 Mac Mini two weeks ago. Last week, at the Genius Bar (I do not have broadband internet where I live yet), I had my Mac Mini's OSX upgraded to the most up-to-date High Sierra, and today I upgraded the most recent iTunes into my Mac Mini. Sometime in the next few weeks I will be having Spectrum Broadband installed where I live. Once I do, I can start the free 15 day trial of Audirvana Plus -- and I have a great feeling that I will want to stick to Audirvana Plus. My question is this -- does having iTunes factor in in any way to Audirvana Plus? Does one (nowadays) need to have iTunes to have A+? Can I use A+ completely independently of iTunes, and I also hear that A+ has something called a "direct mode". What it boils down to is that I need someone to please tell me how to go about the installation of A+ in my 2014 Mac Mini. I would greatly appreciate step-by-step assistance. Thanks for your help....

Oh, this CIA torture playlist is nothing. Wanna know what's worse than this playlist? My singing! My singing is so bad, I couldn't carry a note in a pail. So, the CIA recently hired me to (gasp!) sing at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Once I start singing, terrorists will start talking pronto!!!! Hee Hee!

Yes, it is!

Does anyone on the CA forum have this Sony SACD called 80's Hits? It contains the following: 1. Never Gonna Give You Up - Rick Astley 2. I Wanna Dance With Somebody - Whitney Houston 3. Caribbean Queen (No More Love on the Run) - Billy Ocean 4. Girls Just Want To Have Fun - Cyndi Lauper 5. Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This) - Eurythmics 6. Wake Me Up Before You Go Go - Wham! 7. Jump (For My Love) - The Pointer Sisters 8. Eye Of The Tiger - Survivor 9. Africa - Toto 10. 99 Red Balloons - Nena 11. Manic Monday - The Bangles 12. Wishing Well - Terence Trant Dar'by 13. Hold Me Now - Thompson Twins 14. Fantastic Day - Haircut 100 15. Down Under - Men At Work 16. Lovely Day (7" Sunshine Mix) - Bill Withers It was made in the European Union. I just wondered if it's a good sounding SACD for an 80's music compilation?
