I'm a newbie at this, but it sounds fun and interesting so I went ahead and ordered a tube online described as "PCC88 Pinched Waist, 1950s D-Getter, Philips Holland made. New Old Stock, white Box" for $150 (positive or negative comments are welcome as to whether that's an appropriate choice or not). It hasn't arrived yet.
Regarding the "Burson Discrete OpAmps", I'll go ahead and order those also, since they seem easy enough to install... I looked on partsconnection.com, and there are at least 3 different model numbers (detailed below)... so which model do I want exactly, and how many OpAmps do I need?
