just a quick one to confirm that the method in that youtube clip doesnt work, when trying to rollback from 3.56. Rolling back from 3.56+ appears to be a dead end. i'll look around for another player.

Bugger. If there is anyone else reading this that has successfully downgraded from firmware 3.56 (or later), please chime in. This youtube vid seems to suggest a HDD reformat will do it.....?

Confirming that recovery mode doesnt work on version 3.56. System Update only looks for firmware that is 3.56 and above. Need a confirmed method for rolling back from 3.56 to earlier.

Well I'm in between. I keep reading that 3.60 is not possible. And firmware downgrade is only working for 3.55 . I'm on 3.56 (in between). I need to hear from someone who has successfully downgraded 3.56 . I'm on the verge of trying the Recovery mode process documented in the Readme, using the OtherOS firmware. But am concerned that everything I'm reading is, that it's 3.55 only.

Wicked, this is very exciting, I'm watching the releases stream out every day - I'm sure you are getting close. I cant wait to try your new native ps3 app. I have a sacd capable PS3 that is currently running firmware 3.56. Can you confirm if the special firmware you mentioned is something you will be releasing along with the native app. Or is it a custom firmware that someone else has released? I'd like to prepare the PS3 for your impending final release. So it would be good to get a head start on downgrading my firmware and load the special firmware version, if that is possible.
