  1. a very small program to catalogue audio cds? ultimately what i'd like to do is open my cdplayer.ini file and edit cds already listed and manually add cds.. i can do that in notepad but can't add the "disc id" without putting the cd in but either put a cd in and have a "look up" from freedb or multiple databases or even manually add cds, i'd rather manually add cds tho. doesn't have to have any bells and whistles but just something to work on the cdplayer.ini file. i've spent a while looking on my own but haven't found anything. if nothing like this exists e.a.c. will have to suffice it's better than anything i've tried this far anyway but noticed it has a few issues. basically i'd like to have a program to do a text search of a particular cd "cd look up" from, preferably multiple databases then add and edit that info and it'd have to generate a disc id without having the cd in a drive so it would recognize the actual disc when i do put it in. a CDDB.DAT editor would be cool to. i've searched all over the place and most software that even comes close to what i'm trying to do is from the win '95 and '98 days ha this is probably just wishful thinking but maybe this will spark inspiration to any programmers here i have tried most of the "organizers and catalogers" around now and while they're good at what they do most or overloaded with features i'm not interested in.
