  1. Hey guys, i have some multi-track FLAC files. I'd like to split them up into separate tracks. Can anyone tell me how to do that? Thanks Nick
  2. Thanks for the responses. Do you know how high i can turn up the volume of the DAC/AMP with IEM's? I don't wanna damage anything.
  3. "First question you need to answer is what format are the m4a files: m4a (MPEG4 Audio) is a wrapper which can contain files encoded in a variety of ways - AAC or Apple Lossless being the most common. Only if the files are Apple Lossless is there any point converting them to AIFF. If they are AAC then you will gain nothing just loose disk space." I checked and the files are Apple lossless 24/96. "Smart playlist as in the attached image will list the ALAC tracks.?Note that using iTunes to convert 24-bit files to AIFF will result in truncation to 16-bit. XLD will convert correctly." I won't want to convert them using iTunes then. They are 24/96. I have tried using MAX and they converted successfully into 24 bit .aiff into iTunes.
  4. Hello, i have a pair of Westone UM2 IEM's that im using with a NuForce uDAC-2 and a MBP with iTunes. What should my system volume, itunes volume, and uDAC-2 volume be set at?
  5. Hello, i have some .m4a music i want to convert to .aiff. Is there any degradation in quality with this conversion? I have converted .flac to .aiff using MAX before based on the video provided on this website. Im not sure if i need to use MAX for this. How do you recommend i complete this conversion properly? -nick
