  1. Hi all Firstly, I have really enjoyed all your lovely and educational comments and documents on this website. They have not only been educational but also given me so much info and directions on how to build a system for myself to really enjoy the investments. My current 'beginner' setup is playing music from PureMusic, through optical cable, into HK AV360 receiver and out to Dynaudio 2/8 speakers As of now, I am at the point where I am experimenting with sample rate conversion. Feeding lossless music, ripped from ordinary CDs, into the receiver, (that apparently alleged to upconvert all sample rate to 96khz), would it produce better clarity by 1: setting PureMusic/AudioMidi to the native 44.1khz sample rate and let the DAC inside the receiver to do the upconversion? Or 2: setting PureMusic/AudioMidi to 88.2khz/96khz and let the same DAC convert that already upconverted signal for listening? I myself fell that playing music in 44.1khz sample rate into receiver makes the sound more bright and pleasent and gives the vocal more air to listen while the latter option makes the bass sound tighter, vocal more distinguished from instruments but lacks that pleasent and smoothness that the former option gives. Hope that was not too confusing. Thank you very much for any advise given.
