  1. Received the 2.8 SD and plugged it in, rebooted, and the uR is recognized and working properly. Glad it wasn't anything more expensive than a $28 fix! That's a new World's Record for me! Thanks
  2. The power off/power on trick did not work. The ST sees both renderers and correctly ID's their IP addresses. The uR can be accessed, managed, and played to by Roon. The mR homepage/GUI cannot be accessed by any method. It is not a matter of the DAC on the other side of the mR being verified. vortecjr - is there anything other than a hardware fail that could cause this? Do I need to send it in to be looked at or replaced? Thx
  3. Just prior to my prior post, I was able to go to the mR by clicking "Manage", and went into Apps and DAC Diagnostics, and I was not able to see my Exogal Comet Plus there - I believe the message was to attach a USB DAC. The Comet is ON and is in working order - I am able to play my streaming TV audio feed through the DAC without difficulty, so I know the DAC is functional. The mR is connect by USB cable to the Comet, as always. I unplugged/replugged the mR to reboot it and did not see a change.
  4. 1) When I enter xxxxx.140 into my browser I go to the uRendu GUI 2) Roon has the correct (same) IP address for the uR as my ST GUI has (xxx.140) 3) My ST GUI sees my mRendu and gives an IP address of xxx.141 (Attached) 4) When I try click on the IP link, click "Manage" for the mR, or enter the IP into my browser directly, I get a Safari error (attached)
  5. I've done quite a bit of rebooting but haven't rebooted the whole network (router). I'll try that too - but probably tomorrow. I'm up to my elbows tonight in COVID-related hospital stuff. I'll try to be back tomorrow night. Thanks again for the help.
  6. Nope. The uRendu is 2.8 but doesn't show up on the ST GUI, but it was there yesterday. It is recognized in Roon/Settings/Audio tab, and plays fine. Just don't see it on ST GUI. And the mRendu that I do see on the ST GUI is NOT recognized in Roon/Settings/Audio and is not listed on Roon/Zones
  7. I have been using an upgraded mRendu for several years to render Roon feed from a sonicTransporter i5 to an Exogal Comet Plus DAC. I recently had to purchase a SGC power supply for the mR when the original iFi power supply failed. Everything had been working fine after replacing the PS. Last week I assembled a second system in the basement comprising a Naim Dac being fed by an ultraRendu that is rendering a Roon feed from the same ST. The new system is working great, but I now find that I cannot play Roon to my original mR in the den. When I check in Roon Settings, the mR is NOT listed under the Audio tab, but the uR and all my Sonos gear is. When I view the ST homepage on my network, it appears that the ST recognizes both renderers***, and I have rebooted the mR several times, as well as rebooted the ST. Despite all this, I still cannot see my mR listed in the Audio tab of Roon Settings and cannot play to it. Is there some incompatibility where the mR and the uR cannot both co-exist in Roon at the same time? That would seem surprising to me. I suspect the problem is elsewhere but I have exhausted my meager tech abilities and wonder if anyone has any idea of how to proceed. Yes, I have downloaded the latest versions of software to the ST and Rendu's... Thanks for any help offered. I will check back to monitor this topic periodically. ***CORRECTION - one day later - the ST GUI lists the mRendu but Roon cannot play to it. It does NOT list the uRendu but Roon recognizes and plays to it just fine.
  8. ericuco - thanks - that explains that. Since everything was working well with 2.7, I assume the answer is elsewhere. BCRich - thanks - Yes, mR Roon Ready was enabled. Curiously, now on my sonicoribiter GUI I can see my mR but not play Roon to it, and I cannot see my uRendu, but Roon does, and plays to it just fine. I just realized that I started a new topic by mistake, instead of posting this under the existing Rendu Support thread, so I am going to copy it over there. Thanks for your responses.
  9. Correction: it seems my ST and two 'Rendu's are not all on the same software version, but I have tried to upgrade them and the version does not change. Here is a screenshot of the software status:

  11. I would be feeding a Naim Dac with SPDIF inputs only No USB. Barrows described it correctly...
  12. Quick question for the experts: I am currently using a SGC Sonictransporter i5 to stream Roon to to Sonore mRendu. I am putting a second system together and have the opportunity to buy a used Sonore Signature Rendu (not the SE - unit is circa 2013 approx). Will that unit render Roon from the i5? If not, can the firmware be updated so it can? I'm trying to keep costs down since this system will not be the main rig. Thanks for any help on this...
  13. Thanks for the replies - I may need to go back to school...😉 So I guess it still comes down to actually listening! And thx to JS - I love my sonicTransporter i5 and mRendu. I agree with Chris that its nice to be able to access 50M tracks on Roon/Tidal with outstanding sound quality and reliability and do it for less $ than a cigarette boat...
