  1. My understanding ALSA is audio driver on Volumio Linux OS, no matter the Meitner USB is connected to Sparky USB port or USBridge USB port uses the same ALSA driver. If it is true, and Meitner only has problem being detected via USBridge USB port, it proves the problem is on USBridge. According to Meitner manual, and the test results its USB is XMOS solution which is widely used in DACs. Hope Allo team can help to fix it. Really appreciated.
  2. Hi, I just tested with my Sparky USBridge with volumio 2.657 and Windows 10 foobar2000 USB output to Meitner MA-1. It works on Sparky USB and Windows 10, both detect the MA-1 as XMOS USB audio 2.0, but connect to USBridge USB it fails with error "failed to open ALSA device "hw:1.0": no such file or directory". Please can help to resolve this issue? Thanks. Mat
  3. Hi, I have just get a Meitner MA-1, and I am interested to match it with Usbridge Signature (runs Volumio) as transport. Please may I know if this DAC is supported? Appreciated if someone can share experience on such combo. Thanks, Mat
  4. @ALLOsupport I found many (other DAC owners) have encountered the same issue but I do not find a real solution... It seems the USBridge is kind of prototype , not well tested before thrown in the market. Mat
  5. Upgraded to v6.19.7. if Metrum is connected to Sparky usb port, it plays music. If it is connected to USBridge usb port, there is no music . Logon Dietpi found whatever change the sound card option to either usb-dac or usb-dac-1.1 it automatically changed back to "none"! Tried follow some thread in web, ssh and modify /DietPi/uEnv.txt to aotg.urb_fix=0 aotg.aotg1_speed=1 does not help. aplay -l does not show the USBridge at all. @allo.com please do you have any suggestion? Thanks. Regards, Mat
  6. Tested dietpi on Sparky alone without USBridge , usb works can play music to Metrum. So the problem is on Volumio... Please does Allo support team have any clue to fix the issue? Thanks. Mat
  7. Hi I just got a Metrum Musette DAC, and have problem in feeding its USB from USBridge. Volumio detects Metrum as hiFaceTWO UAC2, but no sound is out no matter I choose the output auto resampling rate to 44.1, 88.2, 96, 192kHz, etc. The Metrum USB works well on Windows 10 with foobar2000 playing the same music, so I suspect the problem is not on Metrum. Anyone has experience on USBridge on Metrum DAC may advice how to resolve this issue? Thanks. Regards Matthew
  8. The Katana has XLR output? Read some reviews, the power input seems a bit complicated, so many options and power on sequence ....
  9. Finally get it works, by flash Volumio image on sd and remove emmc.. Pretty sure there is something wrong on the emmc. However, I did successfully flash dietpi OS on the emmc... Anyway, it is good to have music out. Matthew
  10. Hi, I tried format and flash the emmc with latest volumio and dietpi image, both same result. The sparky still gets blue led on, means it fails to boot up either OS. I really don't know what to do next. Regards, Matthew
  11. My stock usbridge transport comes with emmc installed Volumio. So does my pi3, theoretically the pi sd can boot up. Anyway, I tried disconnect the usbridge board , with the emmc inserted properly and the sparky itself still cannot not boot up. Still blue led on. Thanks, Matthew
  12. Hi I just received my allo sparky usbridge transport on Apr 20, initial impression is really really great compared to my pi3. However, no joy the next day. I find it is not so stable. In last 3 days, when I powered it on , it just did not show up in network. The sparky led (top) is blue while the usbridge led (bottom) is red. I used the stocked power adapter. I tried insert my pi3 volumio sd which is working fine. I tried another LAN cable and switch port which works well with my Pi3 or Laptop, but all not working. I tried to check from its console by connect via hdmi to my TV , but the TV does not detect it . I am quite sure the hdmi has been working good with my Blu-ray player. Please can Allo support suggest what to do? Thanks. Regards Matthew
  13. Hi I just received my allo sparky usbridge transport on Apr 20, initial impression is really really great compared to my pi3. However, I find it is not so stable. Yesterday and today when I turned it on by plug in power supply, it just did not show up in network. The sparky led (top) is blue while the usbridge led (bottom) is red. Yesterday I retried few times faiked and it was detected again after several hours. However, today I retried but no luck. Mine is shipped with Volumio OS and default power supply. I have verified the LAN cable and port works well with my Pi3 or Laptop. I tried to check from its console by connect via hdmi to my TV , but the TV does not detect it . I am quite sure the hdmi has been working good with my Blu-ray player. Please can Allo support suggest what to do? Regards Matthew
