  1. I compared BB with very good LPS to my PC Audio (PPA USB V2, LPS) and PC Audio sounded better (vocals !) . Auralic Aries sounds similarly to modified PC. BB is a budget solution. But with LPS it sound better than oridinary PC.
  2. Oppo BD-105D. CA - try volumio.org ;-) Compare to your soft and try to resolve problem with volume. BB should play as loud as USB port without any action.
  3. Volume control sholud be disable to achieve bit-perfect output. I tried volumio.org. I disabled volume control and now BBB plays as loud as USB of PC. I am sorry to say but BBB with soft from volumio sounds much better than with soft from CA. Thanks for idea of cheap streamer but the soft must be improved.
  4. Hmm. I tried BubbleUPnP ... the volume was set to 100 but BBB was quieter than USB of PC. I still think that the soft is not bit-perfect ...
  5. Is the computer with JRiver connected to internet ? Try set DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. Is BBB visible in Windows as multimedia device ?
  6. A friend told me: There should not be /etc/asound.conf, and /etc/mpd.conf is to appeal to the device hw: X, Y. Of course, ReplayGain and volume normalization should be disabled. mixer set to 100%, both ALSA and in MPD. Is the system configured in this way ? Is MPD linked to pulseaudio (standard in Debian) ?
  7. Everything is OK ! ;-) The problem was with computer with Jriver (wrong DNS). NetAudio plays quieter than my PC (with Daphile) over USB ! I assume that NetAudio is not bitperfect ...
  8. I have problem with NetAudio. I installed the system from SD card. I can see NetAudio in Jriver and BubbleUPnP. When I try send music to NetAudio - It plays 6 sec of each song and go to next. But there is silence in loudspeakers. I can log in to the NetAudio through PUTTY. I can see its WEB site (192.168.0.109). But it doesn't work as it should. Can You help me ? What am I doing wrong ?
  9. PPA USB needs external power to deliver the best quality. I tried to power it from MOBO (even powered by linear supply) but the sound didn't differ much from the ordinary USB port. Cheers
  10. Good power supply for Paul Pang USB is more important then LPS for mobo. You can use this one: TeddySB3 - PSU for Logitech SqueezeBox | Power Supplies | TeddyPardo
  11. Two rails are enough: 12V 5-10A (dependent on power consumption of your system) + 5V 1A for PP USB. For SSD you can buy SOtM In-Line SATA Power Noise Filter
  12. M2TECH Young DSD with power supply from Teedy Pardo.
