  1. For me, you could charge the same price for the remote app and I would buy that too. This still fills a gap on the economical side of how to stream tidal with a decent remote.
  2. G'day Does anyone know how to do this or if it is even possible. Perhaps some 3rd party software? Cheers
  3. For the record, forgot to set mac to play through system built in output in the System Preferences, this allows airfoil to take control of of my USB DAC.
  4. G'day CA Fans Heard that JRMC, JRemote and Airfoil (connecting 2 x AEs) was a great combo so I've installed it and I feel like I've just bought a whole new set up as compared to iTunes! One thing I noticed happening is that when I select a different song, Airfoil will stop playing through the main computer and only stream to AEs connected. When I quit Airfoil and try again, the main computer's sounds turn back on. When I open Airfoil again, it plays through all speakers. Does anyone have the same issue? Cheers
  5. Took a while but found 95% of the tracks when I fixed one and iTunes asked if I wanted to find the rest. Thanks! Will be making sure I get a more regular backup going. Cheers
  6. Thanks Gents, will give this a go and see what happens. Will let you know. Cheers!
  7. G'day Just wondering if anyone can suggest a fix to this problem below? Unfortunately my hard disk failed with my music on it….so I went to my backup (this was a few months older)…and so I'm missing probably about 100 songs. I restored this using time machine, to the same location on a new hard-disk (and named that disk the same), however, iTunes doesn't seem to recognise many song locations….many more that 100 songs that I know are missing. I've done many random checks to see if my backup did not back up file (i.e. the file really is missing) but the file exists in the file directory and it's just that the iTunes metadata doesn't seem to be linked to the file location. Without going through thousands of songs and relocating them, is there a shortcut or some form of task that I can get iTunes to perform to relink the files without losing all the meta data such as ratings etc? Thanks for help CA fans! Cheers Charles
  8. G'day probably been asked a thousands times but what do people think has better performance for running itunes and your music library...a thunderbolt drive or an internal drive? I'm running a mac mini and I think my firewire drive has come to the end of its days :-( Cheers Charles
  9. Thanks All for the advice, I think it is my firewire drive...it might be playing up or JRMC doesn't like it. I've tried both MC18 and 19 now and they both seem to like my internal drive not the external firewire. Cheers Charles
  10. Thanks Rocco I might try JRMC18 . Both import functions are crashing. Thanks for the advice!
  11. G'day CA fans Just wondering if anyone knows the best way to transition from iTunes to JRMC? I am simply assuming that I use the import function and point JRMC to where my iTunes library is located and it does the rest, however, after thinking about it JRMC crashes - screenshot attached. 1. I am still on the trial (want to make sure this works before purchasing) 2. The library is large 800gb, has video and music. 3. Is on a firewire drive connected to a mac mini Any suggestions would be great whilst I search the JRMC Wiki. Cheers!
  12. Great Stuff, thanks Mayhem. I am hoping that I can just plug an ethernet cable into each power line adapter and airport express (and my mac mini running iTunes) just recognises that is needs to stream over wired ethernet. Am I dreaming or is it just that simple? Cheers Charles
  13. G'day CA Just wondering if anyone has successfully used a powerline network (power adaptors such as Belkin AV500) to connect a Mac mini using iTunes to an airport express (wired via power adaptor) in order to stream iTunes audio? Cheers Charles
  14. Max seems to have done the job. Cheers
