After trying the Pure Music players for 1 week, I decided to pay about a month ago. Currently I use a Mac Book Pro 13" with 4GB RAM, 2xWD external HD, and a W4S DAC2 as my CAS, I played high rez music at 24 bit 192 kz which I ripped from my LP collection most of the time. Problem occur about 10 days ago when I played a huge music file of 2.04GB Tchaikovsky Violin C'to (app 32 mins), no sound can be heard. When I use Audirvana to play back the same file, no issue at all. I reported the case to ChanelD and got a prompt problem log to ask for more info such as OS version blablabla. They advised me this could be a RAM issue that I should try again by power down the PC and re-open without any other application running. I tried and it won't work either. After this email, nothing was rec'd from ChanelD even though I sent another problem case to them.....PM automatically quit when I play backed another file of 1.88GB. My Mac Book Pro is so clever to created a problem report automatically this time and sent to Apply directly. I have also tried to upgrade the RAM to 8GB (too bad the sales get me the wrong memory at 1333Mhz instead of the 1066Mhz that I have to wait for the replacement), the same problem occurred when I played back music files over 1.88GB. Is there any computer guru out there can give me a hand. Thanks in advance.
