  1. Thanks Chodi for telling me to use that volume knob. I never considered that hearing the "Speaker setup Test tone" available in the HQP interface was bypassing HQP.
  2. Have just installed the trial HQPlayer Desktop 3.71 My sound system --> Windows 7 PC / * Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro sound card / LFD amplifier / Two Harbeth Compact 7 ES-3 sound speakers . I do not use an external DAC. Problem: I have sound output when I play the HQPlayer "speaker setup test sound" but I do not have sound output when playing any of my wav, flac, mp3, or mp4 sound files. Why am I not able to hear sound when playing sound files? My HQPlayer settings appear to be okay, e.g. Device Settings Backend ASIO Device Creative ASIO Channels 2 Ch. offset 0 SDM Pack none HQPlayer displays a moving elapsed time slider when I launch a sound file but there is no sound being output. * Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro EMU20K chip 24 bit, 192000 Hz Creative's X-Fi CA20K2 processor 8-channel Cirrus Logic CS4382 DAC 4-channel Wolfson WM8775SEDS analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) 109dB output SNR.
  3. Thank you for the heads up. I purchased a single FLAC for trial. Yes it is recorded in very good audio quality but make sure this singer and the soft folk rock styling is to your liking before considering purchasing the album. The commenter who compared the music to that of Jimmy Buffett was accurate. YouTube has several samples for you to preview.
