  1. Thanks again for your input. I had a musical fidelity dac but sold it recently and will replace it with a new DAC.
  2. I actually sold the DAC I was using (looking to change this too) but the system is McIntosh A/V Control center with a McIntosh 5-channel power amp (got really good deals on this stuff). Speakers are B&W CM10's and CM1's in rear with a Revel sub. I recently moved and this is why I'm looking into a new setup since everything is in pieces at the moment. Thank you for your suggestions above. I will need to find a local to build me something...I don't dare mess with this stuff...lol
  3. Hello everyone.... For years, I've been using a laptop w/JRiver and then exporting the audio to a USB DAC and then to my audio system. I'm getting ready to do a new setup with a brand new PC tower that will only be used for music and video using JRiver as my program of choice. Also for the first time last night, I came across some threads about Audiophile Optimizer working with Windows 10 and this has definitely got my interest to include in the new setup. Since the tower will be brand new out of the box (have not purchased it yet) do any of you have suggestions on the power the computer should have...AMD...Intel..etc? Does it need to be a high-powered computer or standard one? I have all types of audio files including DSD files and when it comes to video files, some are uncompressed blu-rays. I just want to make sure the new computer is not struggling with these type of files and can easily handle whatever I throw at it. I've read a little bit about the optimizer and I assume when installing it on the new computer it can rid of useless crap bundled on the new tower. I'm such a noob at this stuff...lol Any help would be much appreciated...Have a great weekend!
  4. Never-mind....I self-diagnosed myself. It was a "brain-fart!" It's up and runnung now. Thank goodness I didn't use my real name on here....lol Everyone have a great day!
  5. I'm going crazy over here...lol I've used DVDA-Explorer software in the past and had no problem opening the program up. I recently decided to download this program again and install it back on my laptop. When I unzip the file, there isn't a "run program" option in the file so I'm trying to figure out how to get this program back up and running. I may just be having a brain-fart at this moment and the answer is quite obvious. Any help would be much appreciated! :-) Side note - the one I downloaded is the last version that came out - 20080721 Beta 3 (July 21, 2008) version.
